In life there are the optimists and the pessimists. The optimists, perhaps unknown to many, are not necessarily people that always expect only good things to happen to them. Optimism is defined as being hopeful and confident about future events and future endeavours but that doesn’t mean optimists don’t ever expect bad things to happen. Rather, optimists are hopeful that, even through bad times, things will end up working out for the better.

Pessimists, on the other hand, have a harder time convincing themselves that good will prevail. Pessimism assumes that future outcomes will find their way to negative outcomes.

Have you ever given much thought as to how optimistic or pessimistic you are? Optimism can bring us happiness, confidence and lower our stress levels, but in today’s world with all of its complications, pessimism is an easy trap to fall into.

Why not take our quiz and find out just how your outlook on life is and see if there are steps you can take to living a more positive and happy life?
