Zack and Cody now: What happened to the Suite Life cast?
Every kid growing up in the early 2000s will remember coming home from school and tuning into The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. But what are the cast up to now?
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody aired from 2005, showing the hilarious day to day lives of twin brothers Zack and Cody at the Tipton Hotel.
The twins Zack and Cody got up to tonnes of mischief often getting into trouble with the iconic Mr. Moseby and other hotel staff members.
However, with the franchise ending with the final eposide of The Suite Life on Deck spinoff in 2011, it was time for the cast to move on.
With 17 years passing since the show first aired, not only are fans feeling old, but many are wondering what’s happening in the life of the main cast now.
Cole Sprouse:
After playing Cody Martin, fans continued to watch Cole Sprouse’s transformation well into his teens.
However, when the series’ spinoff Suite Life on Deck came to an end, Cole had to pursue other options and decided to focus on his education.
In 2011, Cole started his freshman year at NYU, where he studied photography and majored in archaeology.
He went on to work in a lab for a while before being called back to the acting world.
One day Cole got a call from his manager, who he says begged him to come back and audition for pilot season of Riverdale.
From there, Sprouse returned to the screen as Jughead Jones, a dark-humored writer who both narrates and stars as one of the main characters of the CW series.
Cole Sprouse also began a relationship with one of his Riverdale co-stars Lili Reinhart.
However, the couple called it quits after three years of their on-and-off relationship.
At the moment Cole is said to be seeing model Ari Fournier.
Dylan Sprouse:
Sweet Life of Zack and Cody fans tend to see a lot less of Zack star Dylan these days.
Mirroring his brother, Dylan also enrolled in NYU and majored in game design.
Dylan graduated with his degree in 2015 and has since kept a much lower profile than his brother.
Though Sprouse continues to act, his roles have been deliberately low-key compared to his popular Disney Channel character.
His work includes the 2019 short “Carte Blanche,” the 2018 indie comedy “Banana Split,” and voice work in “Kingdom Hearts III.”
In 2021, Dylan Sprouse appeared in the film “Tyger Tyger.”
Outside of acting, Dylan has his own career running his brewery called All-Wise Meadery alongside two friends.
He first got into brewing his own drinks as a teenager, later deciding to turn his love for mead into a business venture.
Speaking to Vanity Fair in 2018, Dylan said: “After graduating, I realized that it’s something I really loved doing, and it was also a big business opportunity.”
Ashley Tisdale:
Maddie was everyone’s favourite girl on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and we all wished her the best when life kept beating her down.
However, unlike her character, Ashley Tisdale went from success to success!
Ashley wasn’t limited to one project with the Disney Channel, she also starred in the iconic High School Musical franchise as Sharpai.
This was in addition to pursuing a musical career and many of her performances can be found on her Youtube channel.
Since then, Ashley Tisdale has been keeping busy with family life, and fans have witnessed her stunning transformation from her Disney star to mom.
In March 2021, she and her husband Christopher French welcomed their first child.
The couple had an adorable baby girl they named Jupiter.
She told Forbes: “Life is great. I mean, she’s so cute. You’re learning about each other and as a mom, going through physically and mentally a lot. Now I’m on the other side of it, which is great!”
Brenda Song:
Spoiled, fashion-obsessed hotel heiress London Tipton, Brenda Song was someone we all loved to hate.
However, her career didn’t end with the Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
She also appeared in plenty of other Disney Channel projects.
Brenda Song had roles in films like “Get a Clue” and “Stuck in the Suburbs,” in addition to starring in “Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior.”
She has also done a lot of voice over work.
However, many fans were surprised for find out she welcomed her first child with Home Alone star Macaulay Culkinin in April 2021.
They had a son named Dakota, after Culkin’s late sister who died in 2008.
Phill Lewis:
If we can say one thing about the series it’s that Mr. Moseby was absolutely iconic!
But Phill Lewis’ career started long before the Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
Phill had appeared on well-known shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Friends and How I Met Your Mother and Scrubs.
However, since his time with Disney, the long-time actor has primarily shifted his focus to being behind the camera.
He has now directed multiple television episodes for shows, including Netflix’s “Mr. Iglesias,” CBS’s “B Positive,” Disney’s “Bunk’d”.
Recently, Lewis also directed his first animated episode, “The Politics Episode,” for “One Day at a Time.”
