Richard Simmons released a line of aerobic videos and weight-loss programs to motivate his loyal fanbase, all of which weren’t shy about Simmons’ flamboyant way of doing things. His hair is a legend in itself, and he really is style goals.

Richard Simmons’ unique style and personality have inspired many parodies in mainstream media, such as talk shows and even animated shows like The Simpsons. So it would make sense if he had grabbed the attention of a lucky partner.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan, only just seeing his workouts this year or if you actually tried to lose weight with his programs (and no doubt succeeded), it’s likely you’d have wondered if there is a Richard Simmons Wife in the picture!
Simmons’ Retreat From Public Life
Simmons was once a household name on television, and as an American public figure. His workout videos and public appearances were regular and popular, and his career appeared to be booming. There aren’t many people who don’t know his name, or at least know his face.
It wasn’t until 2014 that Simmons mysteriously took a step back from the spotlight. Was this because he no longer wanted fame? Or was it because he was focusing on his personal life? Maybe a relationship or partner?

Rumours began that Richard was being held hostage by his housekeeper. These rumours escalated to the point that Simmons came back into the spotlight to give an audio interview and state that he wasn’t being held hostage after all!
Adding to the mystery surrounding Simmons step back into the shadows, the fitness gym that he owned closed in 2016 without any explanation. Maybe he’d simply began feeling burnt out from being the go-to fitness guru.
When an investigation was launched to check on the welfare of Simmons, the LAPD issued a statement that the fitness icon was, in fact, fine and doing what he wanted to do. It would seem, at this point, Simmons didn’t have a wife or partner in his home with him.
Life During COVID
Despite making the decision to take a step back from his fitness-guru reputation, Richard has still made his name known during the pandemic. He made the decision to upload regular workout vids to YouTube in order to help people stay fit during lockdown.

Fans will be disappointed that these aren’t new material, though. Richard has been uploading old workout footage as videos to his channel rather than recording new ones. So it would seem that he really has made a decision to retreat from new workout material.
That doesn’t mean that fans aren’t grateful to have new content on his channel. And it certainly helps to keep moving during difficult times.
The Fitness Icon’s Personal Life: Is There A Richard Simmons Wife?
Richard Simmons has always been very private about his life outside of colorful fitness videos and lifestyle inspo. He’s never revealed details of his partners, orientations or preference. If there is a Richard Simmons Wife, we don’t know! He certainly seems to be single at the moment.
But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t made any important relationships along the way.

Richard has always been generous and attentive with fans.
