Wes and Johanna: Where Is The Challenge’s Couple Now?
MTV’s The Challenge was no stranger to a dramatic twist. When it came to Wes Bermann, the show unveiled what viewers would have no qualms in labelling a straight-up villain. Wes still managed to hook up with Johanna Botta, and many fans of the TV show will be wondering if Wes and Johanna are still together.
So what has the couple been up to since the show aired? Are they married, divorced or now simply somebody they used to know?
How Did Wes and Johanna Meet?
The Challenge was a hit reality TV show that threw together the network’s The Real World and Road Rules. And with this mash-up came the relationship between Wes and Johanna.
The pair first met on The Real World: Austin before starring on The Challenge together, by which point they were already a couple.

They hooked up officially when The Real World: Austin wrapped.
Wes and Johanna then appeared on Fresh Meat as an officially loved-up couple – hoorah!
Are Wes and Johanna Still Together?
Alas, Wes and Johanna are no longer together. Although their relationship seemed to have a happy future with plans to get married and even buying a house together, they actually broke up a long time ago.

The pair split around two years after first announcing their happy engagement.
Their engagement was called off before they both appeared on The Island. They even went on to both compete on The Ruins.
But, sadly, their romance wasn’t meant to be.
Who Are Wes and Johanna Dating Now?
It seems that the pair began scouting for new partners even when still appearing together on reality shows.
Whilst starring in The Island, Johanna actually hooked up with Kenny Santucci. Kenny also competed alongside Wes and Johanna on The Ruins after that. Talk about awkward!
To even the playing field, Wes’s new girlfriend, Kelly Anne Judd, was also a participant on The Ruins. Nothing like keeping it in the reality show family!
But even these dazzling new romances weren’t meant to be, as Kenny and Kelly weren’t right for Wes and Johanna, and they all parted ways not long after.
Wes Is Now Married To A Yoga Teacher
It seems that Wes finally tied the knot with someone, even if that someone wasn’t Johanna!

He’s now married to yoga teacher Amanda, who Wes was dating for two years before he popped the question back in 2016. The pair married in June 2018, and some of his Real World co-stars even attended the wedding.
Lacey Buehler, Rachel Moyal, Nehemiah Clark and Melina Stolp were all there. But, unsurprisingly, Johanna wasn’t.
Johanna Is Now Married To A News Correspondent
It seems that both Wes and Johanna found their happy ending, as Johanna is now also officially loved-up with a new bae. She’s married to author and NBC news correspondent Willem Marx.

The pair even have a child together. They began dating in 2011, and became engaged in 2013.
Their glam wedding took place in Italy in 2014, and their son – Diego – was born in 2015.
What Are They Doing Now?
Alongside their successful love lives (though, sadly, not with each other) you may be wondering what the pair are up to now.
Johanna Is A Successful TV Show Host
As well as being reality show royalty, Johanna is also a successful TV show host and director. So it makes sense how she met her news correspondent hubby!
Her catalogue of TV shows include hosting VH1’s Big morning Buzz, MTV’s Guy Code and Fuse’s Trending 10. So it seems her buzz for reality shows stuck with her in her own career.

And it seems she’s been a success in other ways, too. As well as being a professional TV host, she was also voted as one of the sexiest women in reality TV! A glam status she stuck with when also hosting several movie premieres on the red carpet.
Wes Is An Engineer And Fitness Freak
It seems Wes has a passion for keeping in shape (which makes sense why he’d now be married to a yoga teacher!). He lives in Kansas with his wife and dog – the perfect opportunity for plenty of hiking and to keep in shape.
Wes kept his passion for reality TV, as he still enjoys competing, but alongside his TV fame, he works as a startup engineer for BetaBlox.

Fans will still be glad to hear that the pair found their own love, happiness and successful careers, even if it wasn’t with each other! It made great TV while it lasted, and it’s always great to see how far TV couples have come (or not come) after meeting on network shows.
As far as we know, Johanna and Wes are no longer in contact, but hopefully there’s no bad blood between them!
