Vernon Kay: What Do We Know About Him?
Vernon Kay will appear on our screens again in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! line up but what do we know about the Lancashire lad?

Where did he grow up?
Vernon was born in Bolton, Greater Manchester on April 28th, 1974.
His father, Norman, is a lorry driver and his younger brother Stephen is a primary school teacher.
He graduated from what was Manchester Polytechnic (now known as Manchester Metropolitan University) with a degree in environmental science.
Why I’m A Celeb?
The TV star is set to be getting £150,000 for his appearance on the ITV show!
However, in interviews he insists:
‘Mainly though I am doing it for my daughters, Phoebe and Amber.
‘It’s a show they watch on a regular basis and they get behind the people in the camp. I think the fact I am involved in it will make it even more fun for them.
‘And now it is approaching, they are so excited.
‘Every time I talk about it, I get a double fist pump from them and they are thrilled to be involved’.
A source close to the show told The Mirror:
‘Everyone’s so pleased to have Vernon on board, he’s a lovely guy, full of down-to-earth northern charm and perfect for the show’.
What do we know about his family?
The Family Fortunes host married Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly in Horwich, Bolton in 2003.
The couple have daughters Phoebe and Amber in 2004 and 2009 respectively.
Tess and her husband Vernon Kay have had a tumultuous marriage.
Vernon was caught in a cheating scandal with former page 3 model, Rhian Sugden, once in 2010 and again in 2016.
Neither Tess nor Vernon have discussed the scandal in depth.
