The 90s was a decade made for kids: we had amazing toys, delicious snacks, and a whole raft of game shows just for us. How many do you remember watching – and thinking you could do better?
1. 50/50
50 pupils from opposing schools go head to head to win! Sadly, you need 49 other people to be considered.
2. Get Your Own Back
Adults were good sports in the 90s – even allowing kids to dunk them in goo.
3. Finders Keepers
Hang out with Neil Buchanan, win prizes, destroy a house in the process: every kid wanted a go (PS: repeats are now showing on Challenge!).
4. Fun House
We’re all annoyed that it came back for one day and we were too old to go on it.
5. Incredible Games
David Walliams as a lift, a giant bowl of alphabet soup and a challenge involving a scary helmeted bad guy: welcome to the Incredible Games!
6. Jungle Run
How this show got health and safety we’ll never know.
7. Knightmare
Knightmare brought a bit of technological sophistication to game shows, with green screen environments and enemies.
8. Run the Risk
Another show featuring lots of running around and gunge – and during the 1995 Christmas special, Ant and Dec themselves!
