The 33-year-old TV presenter shot to fame on the reality TV show when it first began in 2010, and he is said to have “given the green light” to a potential ‘TOWIE’ return.
A source said:
‘Mark and producers are in discussions and he’s excited to come back into the fold. It’s thought he may also film some scenes with his sister Jess Wright.
‘It is early days but the former lothario has given the green light to a return for the very first time’.
Mark – who starred in the first three ‘TOWIE’ series – last appeared on the show in a 2012 Christmas special.
And bosses of the special spin-off show are also said to be hoping to attract other original stars, such as Amy Childs, to the anniversary show.

The source added to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column:
‘There is an idea to have a stand-alone series with original cast members, who include Joey Essex and Amy Childs, although this will depend how many of the originals will go back – and for how long.
‘Getting Mark on board is a huge coup. He has gone on to have the biggest success, so producers know if they sign Mark, the others will sign too’.
Last year, Mark’s sister Jess Wright – who appeared on the ITVBe show from 2010 to 2016 – teased she may make a return to ‘TOWIE’ for the show’s 10th anniversary.
Asked whether she will be at the The Only Way Is Essex 10th anniversary by BANG Showbiz, she said:
‘Who knows, we’ll have to wait and see, you never know. Ten years is an amazing milestone, and for TOWIE to still be going, and it’s still going strong, you know, I’m so proud of that, and I love watching it and, you never know’.
