Kylie Cosmetics UK: The Development Of Jenner’s Makeup Line
Kylie’s now BILLION dollar empire began back in 2015, with her release of her signature ‘lip kits’. It followed a public hype over her increasingly plumped up pout which sparked controversy over lip fillers, before they were even a ‘thing’. We really do have Kylie to thank for that ‘trend’.
She at first denied the procedure and said her voluminous pout was simply a result of lip liner and good technique. Pull the other one Kyles…
Off the back of a lot of public scrutiny (and of course a large market), along with her issue of finding a lip liner that matched her lips ‘perfectly’, Kylie decided to make her own.

You can only imagine when she went on to release her own line of said lip liners and liquid lipsticks, they absolutely flew out of stock. Everyone and their dog wanted one.
The youngest of the Kardashian clan, Kylie Jenner, is now at the top of the makeup game, sitting pretty on a one million dollar business. The makeup mogul has continued her reign for years now, since founding her line in 2015. She releases new collections seasonally, along with her annual birthday collections.

Being from one of our generations most famous families has called for collab after collab with her famous sisters, friends and of course, ‘Momager’, Kris Jenner.
Her lip kits may still remain the most sort after of the Kylie Cosmetics line, but her expansion of the line to include concealer, ‘kylighters’, ‘kybrow’, to name a few, have all been received an impressive reception of their own.
Kylie’s signature ‘kyshadow’ eyeshadow palettes are a business in themselves- with their compact design and expansive colour ranges, there’s one to appeal to all.
Then there’s her lip kits- there’s hardly a colour she hasn’t launched. With everything from khaki green to purple, mattes to metallics, her line offers it all.

Her innovative and fun packaging designs, phenomenal marketing (helped along by its owner’s 143 MILLION followers), constant releases and signature branding has crafted a worldwide force with Kylie Cosmetics.
Demand grew so high for Kylie Cosmetics that she rolled it out in to Ulta stores in America.
So, it’s surely not fair that Americans can get their hands on the gold dust so readily- what about us back in the UK?
Well, we might not be able to get them in store, to fill our arms with swatches, but we can still get them online. The Kylie Cosmetics site converts her prices from dollars in to pounds AND also offers free shipping over £20.
BUT- caution- like most international deliveries, the products are subject to custom charges when being shipped outside of the US.
From Kylie’s site itself:
“Items shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import duties, taxes and/or charges which are not included in the total cost of your order, nor will they be covered or reimbursed by Kylie Cosmetics.”
Her makeup line is such a phenomenon she’s recently decided to strip it back to basics, with the introduction of her Kylie Skin line. Sceptics doubted the products at first, but customer reviews have actually been overwhelmingly positive.

Who knows which beauty industry pies Kylie will dig her hands in to next- there’s no doubt whatever it may be will sell well. At this point, the youngest Kardashian just BREATHES and makes a salary.
