1. Walnut whips.
They were just so much better in the 70s & 80s! They taste nothing like they used to when we were younger.
2. Mr Benn shopkeeper.
Mr. Benn used to visit this fancy-dress costume shop where he is invited by the mustache, fez-wearing shopkeeper to try on outfits.
3. Garden chairs.
I think pretty much everyone had a garden chair that looked like this. It just screams 80s.
4. School cups.
These things will always remind me of school trips, when the teachers used to pack them up for us when ever we went somewhere.
5. The Champ.
This was the first film I ever cried at. Jon Voight was amazing in it.
6. Frustration.
This game was actually SO FRUSTRATING.
This came out every Christmas without fail.
7. Nike trainers.
My sister had a pair of these when we were younger, they’ve come back into fashion recently, it just reminds me of being young all over again.
8. Lassie.
Loved this film, even the remakes were really good.
9. Fine fares.
These used to be everywhere in the 70s, it was famous for its yellow pack budget own-label.
10. Grange Hill.
Such a good programme! I can’t believe it started in 1979 and lasted all that time.
A lot of us grew up watching it after school.
11. The Secret Garden.
We all remember reading those ladybird books when we were in primary school, but do you remember this one?
12. Andy Pandy.
Andy Pandy was around since the 50s. It came back for a series in the 70s, then again in 2002.
13. ‘Fish and Chips’.
You can still get these now, but for some reason, they just don’t taste as good as they used to.
