The Royal Horological Conservator
This is a fancy title for a rather ordinary and outdated job. The Royal Horological Conservator is just a fancy name for the Royal Clock Winder. The Queen could just advance with the technology of today and get digital clocks, or even have the ones she has re-made, but instead, she has someone to set over 1,000 clocks throughout her royal residences.
Yeomen Warder
These are the ceremonial guards at the Tower of London. Also known as the Beefeaters, they make sure the crown jewels are safe, look after the prisoners kept in the tower, and have led tours since the early 1800s. Since they’re looking after treasured jewelry and baddies, these guards must already have 22 years of service under their belt and be retired from the Armed Forces.
Warden of the Swans
There are two positions to take care of the Queen’s beloved swans, the Warden being the one who looks after them and makes sure they’re physically doing well. Until 1993, these two positions were one and called the Keeper of the Swans.
