This position is held by one of the Queen’s servants and lets us see the mild paranoia the Queen has to live in. The position is simple: the servant puts a black blotting paper on the Queen’s desk. This is so that no one can try and scribble their way to learning what the Queen has been writing about.
The Royal Horological Conservator

This is a fancy title for a rather ordinary and outdated job. The Royal Horological Conservator is just a fancy name for the Royal Clock Winder. The Queen could just advance with the technology of today and get digital clocks, or even have the ones she has re-made, but instead, she has someone to set over 1,000 clocks throughout her royal residences.
