It’s safe to say that Hollywood actor Ted Danson has had a pretty turbulent relationship history.
He’s had three wives and a VERY public affair over the years, but it seems like the star may have finally settled down with his latest partner.

Ted Danson’s first wife was actress Randy Danson, who he married back in 1970.
The pair met at university, and they decided to get hitched while they were still studying. Randy was just 20 years old at the time.
As their acting careers began to take off, the couple were spending less and less time together.

They split five years into their marriage- just as Ted made his film debut in The Onion Field.
After her divorce from Ted, Randy went on to star in the likes of The Last Temptation of Christ, The Scenic Route, and The Equalizer.

Cassandra Coates and Whoopi Goldberg
Shortly after his divorce from Randy, Ted Danson married Cassandra Coates.
They had two children together, but tragedy struck when Cassandra suffered a stroke during childbirth that left half her body paralysed.
While Ted remained by his wife’s side as she learned to walk again, the trauma of the stroke allegedly created “a huge rift between” the pair.
Speaking to Closer Weekly the actor said:
“We were adjusting to the fact that we weren’t the same people we were before it happened.”
And this was around the time Ted started a public affair with a fellow Hollywood actress- Whoopi Goldberg.

Ted and Whoopi’s affair was soon slapped across every newspaper and tabloid around. And unsurprisingly, this turned Ted and Cassandra’s marriage from bad to worse.
After hearing from sources that her husband was cheating on her, Cassandra decided to surprise Ted and Whoopi on set. She reportedly saw the pair taking a romantic stroll in the woods, which confirmed her suspicions.
Ted’s second wife walked away from their marriage with their two children and $30million, making it one of the most expensive celebrity divorces of all time.
A source at the time said:
“He [Ted] knew how bad it looked that his affair was so public and he didn’t stand a chance at fighting Casey on it. But he didn’t expect to take such a huge financial hit.”

After Ted and Cassandra’s divorce, it seemed like the actor was destined for single life. But just two years later, he surprised everyone (and himself!) by marrying once again.
This time, Ted had tied the knot with fellow Hollywood comedian Mary Steenburgen, who has starred in everything from Step Brothers to Back to the Future III.

And it seems that before they met each other, the pair had given up on love completely.
“I announced to all my friends — not dramatically, but very seriously — that I was done with relationships,” Mary told Closer.
After working on the film Pontiac Moon, Ted and Mary became firm friends. And the longer filming went on, the closer they became.
The couple then got hitched, and they’ve now been together for a whopping 27 years.
During their marriage, Ted and Mary are still crazy about each other.
They’ve starred as themselves in Curb Your Enthusiasm, and speak highly of each other at every opportunity they get.
“I’m madly in love with Mary Steenburgen.
She’s a remarkable human being, so I’m just incredibly blessed. It feels like heaven on Earth.”
