Stephen Ringer and Aly Michalka first met on the set of the film Sequoia back in 2012, for which Stephen did the cinematography. Aly starred as the main character Riley, a troubled girl who takes a solo trip into Sequoia National Park.
They quickly started dating, and got engaged just a year and a half later.
Aly made the announcement on Instagram, and posted a gorgeous snap of her brand-new engagement ring.
She wrote:
