But we have to admit, our dreams were shattered when we started hearing rumours that the two starring actors didn’t actually get on all that well in real life.
So is it true that Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham don’t see eye to eye?

We’re going back a few years here, but there were whispers of a feud between the stars during their early years filming together.
The way she answered the question and some pretty bad interpretations of her body language led fans to believe Luke and Lorelai were mortal enemies off-screen.
Tabloids and gossip columns ran riot with rumours, which fanned the flames. So much so, Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham were asked about their relationship in nearly every single interview they gave during their time on Gilmore Girls.

In the run up to the show’s finale, Lauren Graham was doing her final round of interviews. And she decided to be much more open about her relationship with her co-star.
When asked about how she would describe her relationship with her on-screen love interest, the TV fave said:
Totally great. It’s a working relationship, like most of them are. But he was so great in that part.
I really loved my scenes with him and the chemistry we had. Our banter was among the most fun stuff to do”.
Glowing Reviews
So there you go. There’s absolutely no truth in the rumours. If anything, the stars have been known to give each other glowing reviews over the years.
During a tell-all Reddit thread, Lauren decided to give fans a deeper insight into their working relationship- and she confirmed that he was an “excellent kisser.”
Lauren Graham went on to insist that all on-screen kisses are a bit awkward though!
And it seems to be a view shared by Scott too…
Scott revealed how nervous he was about kissing Lauren for the first time– especially as it was such an iconic moment for the show.

Chatting with Entertainment Weekly, the actor said:
“(I remember) how nervous we both were on that day and how the crew stuck around to check it out because everybody kind of knew it was this iconic moment… Because the nervousness we were having as actors was, ‘We don’t want to screw this up’.
‘And then we both realised this is exactly how we should feel. We should take this into the scene and we did and got the result.”
Professional Careers
After their success on Gilmore Girls, fans have been curious to find out what Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham have been up to since their time on the show. And it seems like they’ve been pretty busy!
Lauren has appeared in the likes of Parenthood, Vampirina and The Mighty Ducks: Gamechangers over the years. She’s also made her debut as an author, and has three books under her belt so far.
As for her love life? She’s been happily dating her Parenthood co-star Peter Krause since 2010.
