She’s absolutely killed it on shows like Suits and Grey’s Anatomy, but behind the scenes, Sarah Rafferty likes to live a relatively quiet life with her husband.
So what do we know about Sarah’s other half, and how long have they been together for?
Let’s investigate…
Sarah Rafferty Husband
Sarah Rafferty’s husband is Aleksanteri Olli-Pekka Seppälä, also known as Santtu Seppala. He is of American and Finnish descent, and works as a stock research analyst in asset management.
Biography Tribune reported that Santtu has some impressive accolades under his belt; he has an Ivy League education with a Bachelor’s Degree from Yale University, and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
The pair married way back in 2001, and have enjoyed two decades of marriage so far.
And the actress gave a shout-out to Santttu on Instagram on their anniversary:
“Two decades in, still mugging. Happy 20th Anniversary, Santtu. Thank you for the “hope, coffee and poetry…”

During their time together, the couple have had two daughters; Oona Gray and Iris Friday.
Oona Gray was born in October 2007, while second daughter Iris Friday was born in January 2012.
While the family tends to live a life away from the cameras, the actress occasionally gives fans an insight into her marriage- and what she and Santtu do to keep the spark alive.
“My husband and I will do hot yoga and hike. Then we’ll go out to dinner, where we can actually talk without being interrupted. That’s like winning.”
Royal Wedding
Sarah might have fans in a tizz about her throwback wedding photos, but things hit another level when the actress was invited to the Royal Wedding.
Both Sarah Rafferty and her Suits co-star Patrick J. Adams were among the guests at Meghan’s royal wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018, which the actress has described as “remarkable”.
The mum-of-two said it was a proud moment watching her close friend and former colleague walk down the aisle, explaining:
“It was a wonderful moment to get to see [Meghan] on that day and in that moment. It was special.”
She added:
“Seeing [Meghan] walk in on her own, in that moment before she met up with Prince Charles to walk the rest of the way, that was amazing.”

Scott Patterson and Lauren Graham: What their relationship was really like
But it was her time playing Donna Paulsen on Suits that turned Sarah into a star- and she’s forever grateful for the experience.
“For me, it has been really gratifying and interesting in creating a lot of backstory for the character… I have found you can keep digging deeper and deeper into the character and make it more alive for yourself and the audience.
There is a little part of me that misses playing her!”.
And after Suits ended in 2019, Sarah has still been busy.
The actress landed herself a recurring role as Suzanne in Grey’s Anatomy, and went on to join the cast of NBC’s Chicago Med, where she played Dr. Pamela Blake, a renowned transplant surgeon.
