Sandra Bullock has made no secret of her desire to be an adoptive parent.
While her journey to motherhood hasn’t been the easiest, the Hollywood actress dotes on her son Louis and daughter Laila.

Sandra Bullock’s son is Louis Bardo, who is thought to be around eleven years old now.
While the in-demand actress was going through a VERY public divorce with Jesse James in 2010, Sandra was spending increasing amounts of time thinking about motherhood- but she was still unsure.
When she started watching the TV coverage of Hurricane Katrina, something finally told the star to adopt.
Speaking to Parenting in 2018, Sandra Bullock said:
“I did think, ‘Maybe not.’ Then [Hurricane] Katrina happened.
I’m going to cry … Katrina happened in New Orleans and something told me, ‘My child is there.’ It was weird.”

While Sandra still had a few doubts about adoption along the way, she was overjoyed when she finally got to hold Louis for the first time four years later.
Chatting to Hoda Kotb on Today, the A-lister said:
“The beautiful thing that I was constantly told was, ‘The perfect child will find you. You will find your child.
But you don’t believe that when it’s not happening. When you’re going, ‘Where is my family?’”.
Growing Family
Adopting Louis has been a huge blessing for Sandra Bullock- in more ways than one.
Besides making her a mom, the growing youngster actually convinced the Bird Box star to adopt a second child in 2015.
The actress explained that she and a group of close friends were having a conversation about their daughters when Louis had butted in.
Although he was just three years old at the time, the toddler joked:
“Yeah, I don’t have daughters. But I’m going to have a baby soon!”.
Sandra looks back on this fondly, and said:
“I realized at that time, maybe he knew something. And when I think about it, it would have been around the time that Laila was born.”

When Louis had a birthday party, Sandra decided to hire a photographer for the day. And this is when she met her long-term boyfriend Bryan Randall.

“Sometimes, they sit back and laugh because they look at their lives and they feel like an old married couple.
They’re set in their ways and content. The kids are healthy and happy. This is all she’s ever wanted … this is heaven for Sandra.”

As Sandra Bullock’s son and daughter grow older, they’re now starting to learn about their mom’s glittering career so far.
