Patsy Kensit Liam Gallagher: Early Days
Patsy Kensit and Liam Gallagher got together way back in mid 1990s, and they were absolutely smitten.
There were matching outfits, loved up snaps at celebrity parties- everything you’d expect from a rock star and his model girlfriend!
Patsy said:
“We were joined at the hip and he always wanted to be with me – even if I was going to the supermarket for a pint of milk.
In many ways it was the perfect relationship I’d dreamed about when I was 16. On our first dates we just stayed up all night talking and sharing secrets. We even dressed the same – in Gucci duffle coats and desert boots – a bit like teenagers.”

After dating for a few years, the couple tied the knot in 1997. But things started to fall apart pretty quickly…
Marriage
Almost immediately after they got hitched, Patsy was warned about her husband’s womanising while he was away on tour.
Opening up about her marriage, she said:
“After weeks of being inseparable he’d walk out the door and be gone for weeks and it was as if we weren’t married.
I knew full well the temptation that was thrown his way and inevitably it caused huge problems between us. I’d heard all the rumours about his womanising and I knew exactly what was going on behind my back.”
It turned out that Patsy’s intuition was absolutely spot on.
Liam had cheated on Patsy during their marriage with singer Lisa Moorish, who then later gave birth to Liam’s only daughter Molly.

Instead of walking away from Liam at this point, Patsy was still determined to try and make their marriage work.
She even turned down the once-in-a-lifetime offer of a part in Friends to try and give things another go with Liam.
“Friends was an offer you didn’t pass up. But I couldn’t commit to it.
I knew I needed to be at home if my relationship with Liam was going to survive… I was madly in love and I chose my marriage over the job.”
They pushed on with their relationship, and welcomed their son Lennon in September 1999.
But this wasn’t enough to steady their marriage. The couple eventually decided to divorce in 2000.
Moving On?
Their marriage might not have lasted all that long, but it seems that Patsy’s not quite moved on from her time with Liam.
Speaking with The Mirror, the actress said:
“I regretted walking out almost immediately. I think he had moved on while I still had feelings for him, and my heart was broken into a million pieces.”
She even attempted to win him back by doing a topless photoshoot for Arena magazine…
“I didn’t know who I was at that point and I hate the photos.
I had breast implants at the time, which I subsequently had removed. Everything I did in the last 18 months of marriage was about trying to get Liam’s attention”.

Despite her regrets, Patsy eventually made friends with Nicole Appleton, who Liam dated immediately after her, describing her as “a terrific stepmother” to son Lennon.
And it seems that Liam also has his own share of regrets after his marriage to Patsy broke down.
Speaking to Q Magazine, the singer said he wished he was able to do things differently in his personal life.
“Probably personal stuff. Breaking up marriages, being a bit of a f*****g idiot with the kids.”
