It’s been a decade since Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide hit our screens. And an awful lot has changed in that time for actor Devon Werkheiser…
He might not be playing Ned Bigby anymore, but he’s still been busy enjoying plenty of TV successes- and he’s even squeezed in the occasional reunion with his cast mates too!
Here’s everything you need to know about former teen icon Devon Werkheiser.
Ned Bigby
Devon hit the big time thanks to his break with kid’s channel Nickelodeon.
Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide ran for three seasons from 2004, and introduced viewers to Ned Bigby and his pals who shared tips to surviving middle school.
Devon Werkheiser was joined by Lindsey Shaw, who played Jennifer “Moze” Mosley, and Daniel Curtis Lee was Simon “Cookie” Nelson-Cook. And they were a pretty formidable trio!
Together they navigated all the chaos that goes with middle school; the milestones, the obstacles, and the occasional embarrassing moment or two.

The show quickly became a hit with audiences (us included), but Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide wasn’t destined for the long haul.
The show was eventually cancelled in 2007.
Moving On
After filming for Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide wrapped, Devon Werkheiser was keen to keep up with acting as much as he could. But he also started pursuing a new passion- music.
He released his first album, Prologue, which landed in 2016. He’s had a few popular singles too, including Crowns, and a few acoustic tracks. He’s even ended up opening shows for megastar Seal over the years too!
When he’s not pursuing his music career, Devon is continuing to build his acting portfolio. And there’s a fair few shows that he’s starred in over the years.
Devon Werkheiser has appeared in everything from Greek, American Dad! and Criminal Minds to Major Crimes, Franklin & Bash and 2 Broke Girls.

He’s also starred in films such as Marmaduke, California Scheming and the 2019 flick Santa Girl.
Cast Reunion
While the cast have gone on to have super successful careers elsewhere, we couldn’t help getting a little bit excited when Devon, Lindsey and Daniel decided to reunite.
In 2020, the former Nickelodeon stars got together for a catch up, and graciously documented the whole thing via Instagram.
There was a LOT of nostalgia going on as the trio posed for some photos together- and it was clear that the cast were delighted about meeting up again.
Reflecting on their reunion and her enduring friendship with Devon and Daniel, Lindsey, who played Jennifer “Moze” Mosely on the show, wrote:
“About last night…My heart is so full after seeing my Ned’s family!! Really excited at the possibility of creating with you all again.”

Also feeling the love from their gathering, Daniel, who played Simon “Cookie” Nelson-Cook, captioned his post:
“Ned’s Declassified Family Reunion! Uncle Cookie’s back in the building with Ned and Moze! So much love in the room!”.
Meanwhile, Devon kept things fairly simple and wrote:
“gang omg w/ @daniel_curtis_lee @ladymshawsters” and threw in the hashtags “#childhood, #throwback, #flashback, #nostalgia #nickelodeon.”
But Devon was a lot more vocal about his love for his castmates in a recent candid interview. And there was even talk that a spin-off of Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide could be in the pipeline!
“Daniel, Lindsay, and I have been in touch more recently and it’s been so great. We have so much love for each other…
Honestly, we’re looking into doing a Ned’s Adult Survival Guide. We want to bring it back as adults. So we’re just trying to see what that would be like and how we would get it done… we’ll see”.
