Nadia Essex Baby: Everything You Need To Know

Nadia Essex found fame as the dating expert on ITV’s reality show Celebs Go Dating. However, the TV personality’s own dating life hasn’t always been easy.

In 2019, Nadia Essex announced that she was having her first child at age 37. She called the baby her “miracle child”, but what do we know about little Ezekiel? And who is the father?

Here’s everything you need to know about Nadia Essex’s baby.

When Did Nadia Essex Have Her Baby?

Fans were shocked when Nadia Essex revealed the huge news that she was having her first child. She announced revealed the news in an exclusive interview with Closer, and said on Instagram: “Never been so scared of a magazine coming out as this. But yes darlings I am with child. So happy and thankful for this blessing & new chapter.”

The dating expert also opened up about her fertility troubles, which led to Nadia believing she would never get pregnant.

She explained: “I had tried for a baby ten years ago with a previous partner, with no success. I’d recently stopped taking the contraceptive pill, but I was using protection.

My doctor told me there was less than one per cent chance of conception. Everyone’s shocked, but I wouldn’t change a thing!”

Nadia gave birth to her baby in March 2020, just before the UK went into its first Covid lockdown. In 2021, Nadia posted a photo of her in hospital in labour, saying: “This time last year, never been so scared, excited and nervous in one go. I was the last of the patients that were allowed these freedoms during birth and I am forever grateful.”

Her baby boy Ezekiel was finally born on the 8th of March 2020. Nadia clearly couldn’t;t have been happier with her new baby, saying on Instagram: “He is here and he is perfect.”

Who is the Father?

Now that we know about Nadia Essex’s baby, the real question is: who is the father? Well, on that point, Nadia has been quiet.

We do know that little Ezekiel was conceived in very interesting circumstances. Nadia had just come off the pill and said she was having protected sex when she got pregnant.

For someone who previously struggled to get pregnant this must have been a surprise. In fact, Nadia didn’t know she was pregnant until nine weeks.

As to who the father is, the 38-year-old did reveal that he doesn’t live in the UK, and that they are not together anymore.

She said: “My baby’s dad lives in America and he wants to be involved, so we’ll find a way to co-parent and communicate. I have a great support system and a very honest relationship with my family.”

It remains to be seen whether the father will have any significant role in Ezekiel’s life, especially living so far away from the family.

What Happened on Celebs Go Dating?

Nadia Essex was known as the dating expert on Celebs Go Dating for two years. However, her time on the show ended fairly explosively.

Nadia famously did not get along with her colleague Eden Blackman. However, things became drastically worse in 2017 when Nadia set up fake Twitter accounts in order to spread lies about Eden.

At the time, Eden didn’t know who was behind the internet trolling, however, he resolved to find out. After an investigation, it emerged that Nadia was the person spreading hateful comments about her co-star.

Following this, Nadia resigned from the show.

However, her campaign against Eden didn’t end, and she even went on to spread further allegations on TV.

In the end, Eden asked Nadia to sign a harassment order. This means that, to this day, Nadia is legally bound to not mention Eden, or she could face jail time.

Speaking about the ordeal, Eden said:

“When you’re waking up every morning for two years, and you are nauseous and have anxiety about what you are going to read about yourself being put out by your former co-host on a dating show that’s meant to be about love and positive vibes, it starts to impact on you.”
