While Rue was supposed to be the lead in Euphoria, it’s safe to say Maddy Perez stole the show. But who is Alexa Demie, the star that plays her?

Alexa Demie is an actress and singer best known for her role as the iconic Maddy in Euphoria.
Despite much confusion about her age, most sources say she was born on December 11, 1990 and is a Sagittarius.
Alexa was raised speaking English and Spanish in her home and considers herself related to her Latin ancestry.
She is a woman of faith, and has been described as a devout Christian.
Alexa was born in Los Angeles, California and is the daughter of makeup artist Rose Mendez, whom she has credited for her fabulous makeup skills.

Euphoria’s Maddy star spent her childhood in a village called “Atwater Village” with her mother Rose.
Rose raised her alone from the young age of eight, but she is still on good terms with her father.
She decided to change her name in 2019.
Earlier her full name was Alexa Demie Wilson Vanerstrom and now it is Alexa Demie.
Other acting roles:
Before shooting to the spotlight as Euphoria’s ferocious Maddy, Alexa had had a whole host of smaller roles.
Alexa has also featured in shows like Ray Donovan, Love, and The OA.
She also made a guest appearance on the show ‘Mid90s’ in 2018.
However, her breakthrough performance came when she took the stage as Maddy in HBO’s Euphoria.
Alexa Demie has also starred in a few music videos like Pharrell’s ATM Jam, Slide by JSMN whom she is said to be dating, and Stargazing by The Neighbourhood to name a few.
She has also directed songs, including the song Talk is Cheap in 2018 and Love 2 u in 2021.

As of now, Alexa Demie has released a total of two songs.
Her debut song Girl Like Me came out in 2016.
Her second track“Leopard Limo (ArchiveLL11) was released in 2021.
Apart from this, she has also starred in a song called Turnin Tricks by Pearl in 2016.
Journey into fashion:
As well as her acting and music career, Alexa Demie also had her own eyewear brand at one point.
Its unsurprising she is into fashion as she plays a character in Euphoria that is known to pull off fashion looks so enviable that even her best friend Cassie had to steel it (as well as her boyfriend Nate Jacobs of course)
Success came to Alexa young as she had an eyewear brand while she was still a student in high school.
When most of us were busy typing out essays or hanging out with friends, Alexa was making moves in the fashion industry, creating her very own brand of shades.
She once opened up about how she wound up selling sunglasses in 2020 on a podcast named The A24 Podcast.
Alexa described how she visited Downtown Los Angeles on a whim and bought a box full of wholesale sunglasses, then bedazzled them with jewels and all sorts.
Following this, she received a retail order with the help of a friend who worked at a store.
Business success:
She worked hard, dedicated an entire three day period towards handcrafting every pair of sunglasses.
The owner of the store sold all these beautiful pairs of sunglasses at his store in Japan with the shades gathering immense popularity.
After a while, huge celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, and G-dragon began wearing Alexa Demie’s sunglasses.
She even visited Taiwan and Japan to attend a few trade shows.
Her sunglasses were also featured in Vogue Korea.
But she realized that she was working too hard day and night but wasn’t getting much money out of it, so she stopped making the glasses.
Alexa Demie boyfriend:
According to Cosmopolitan UK, Alexa has been in a steady relationship since 2017.
The Euphoria star has been dating 34-year-old singer and songwriter Christian Berishaj.
He is popularly known as ‘JSMN’ by his fans, and is of Albanian-American descent.
The singer is from Eastpointe, Michigan but appears to be living in Los Angeles.
According to College Candy, Alexa and JMSN met in 2017 when she appeared in his music video Slide.
The couple prefers keeping their relationship away from the public eye.
However, the male artist has shown off his relationship on Instagram now and again.
JMSN posted a black and white picture of him and the actress sitting on the floor together and followed that picture up with a yellow sun emoji as a caption.
Alexa Demie seemed to verify their relationship when she commented “you look sexy I look like a marshmallow” and followed that comment up with a red lipstick print emoji.
The couple have also been pictured together since Alexa shot to fame after Euphoria’s release.
The two have been pictured on holiday in Miami, with Alexa Demie rocking a tiny purple bikini.
The two looked so happy as they held hands while having some fun in the water.
