Controversies
While Luenell seems to have the best of intentions, she sometimes drops a bit of a clanger from time to time.
Last year, the actress got herself in a spot of bother when rapper DMX was in hospital fighting for his life.
Luenell ended up getting the hashtag “#RIPDMX” trending on social media after she mistakenly thought that the star had passed away.
DMX’s manager Steve Rifki responded to the rumours trending online, and made a plea to fans on Instagram to stop posting that the rapper had died:
“Everybody, please stop posting with these rumours.
DMX is still alive. Yes, he is on life support, but please, it’s not helping anybody by having them see these false rumours.”

In an Instagram story, the actress wrote:

But unfortunately, DMX ended up passing away a short time later. He had been in a vegetative state for some time after suffering a cocaine-induced heart attack.
