She said that Matthew Perry turned into her “Friend Who I Almost But Never Exactly Dated or her FWIABNED.” The Gilmore Girls star claims that Matthew is special to her, but she stopped short of explaining their connection, or how the media linked them as a couple.

Nothing ever came of the pair’s flirtations. Lauren Graham has settled down with her Parenthood co-star Peter Krause, while Matthew Perry recently called off his engagement with Molly Hurwitz.
But the media have continued to make a big deal out of Lauren and Matthew’s supposed relationship- especially now the Friends star is single again.
According to Us Weekly, the pair dated briefly before breaking up but remaining amicable. And after that, a few gossip columns reported that Lauren and Matthew were spotted together, holding hands at a party.
The Daily Mail has even gone as far as claiming that Lauren is Matthew Perry’s “former girlfriend”, and that they dated back in 2003.

While Lauren Graham and Matthew Perry never officially got together in real life, the pair were reunited when they appeared in the comedy The Odd Couple. Matthew starred as one of the main characters, Oscar Madison, while Lauren appeared as a guest star in the first season.
Their relationship on the show was described as “a contentious one that ended in divorce”– and their on-screen chemistry was definitely on point!
The reboot of the 70s show wasn’t the first time that the pair had reunited on-screen. They’ve starred opposite each other multiple times, in both Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and on the now defunct NBC sitcom Go On.
