Well the thing is, after doing four great years on Guadeloupe, the island where we filmed Death in Paradise, I realised I really had to get my son to school.
He was very good on the beach but not so good with math and English. I decided it was time to get him back to school, so the show had to go.
And Kris realized after 4 years of filing on Guadeloupe, he needed to make a decision. It was time to let go for the sake of his family.
However, Kris told laughingly in the interview –
He was becoming a bit too Caribbean. He refused to wear shoes, he would only drink coconut water and eat pineapple.
Even though it seems like a normal issue, it really isn’t. After the pandemic we faced in the last consequent two years, we realized what Kris wanted for his son was normalcy.
Controversy
His Caribbean comment received backlash from a lot of people. They argued his logic was stereotypical.
One of the fans twitted –
