Damon Wimbley, aka Kool Rock Ski, is recognised as one of the members of super-cool hip-hop trio The Fat Boys.
While they stopped making music a long time ago, Damon has continued to fascinate fans over the years.
So where exactly is the star now?
Let’s get the lowdown…
Damon Wimbley
Unfortunately, Damon Wimbley is now the last surviving member of The Fat Boys.
While Buff the Human Beatbox (Darren Robinson) passed away in 1995 due to heart and respiratory problems, fans were crushed when they found out that another band member had also died.
Prince Markie Dee (Mark Morales) passed away in February last year at 52 years old. Former manager Louis Gregory confirmed the sad news on Twitter and wrote:
“Forever in my Heart. Prince Markie Dee was more than a rapper; he was one of my very best and closest friends.
My heart breaks today because I lost a brother. I’ll always love you Mark and I’ll cherish everything you taught me. Tomorrow is your birthday, swing my way big bro.”

There wasn’t a word from Damon Wimbley himself though. He hasn’t posted on his social media channels for years now, and spends his time living off grid.
He last did an interview in 2010, and he hasn’t really done much music since his Fay Boys days.
Damon Wimbley did end up getting into acting for a brief time though. He’s got a handful of credits to his name, including Disorderliness, Krush Groove, and Price of Glory.
Weight Loss
While Damon isn’t in the spotlight as much as he used to be, he hit the headlines when fans got wind of the star’s weight loss.
The rapper had hit a whopping 330 lbs at his heaviest, and he was struggling to even tie up his shoes.

Kevin Jamal Woods: Where is the actor now?
After becoming breathless from everyday tasks, he decided on a complete lifestyle overhaul.
Speaking to the press about his weight loss journey, Damon said:
“When I saw that the weight started shedding, I decided to keep it off. I went back up to 240 and I never looked back from there. I said I’m never gonna go back to the way I was before.
I just went to the gym and started eating the right food. You only have one body so you gotta take care of it. It’s not easy.
To this day I’m 167 lbs but it’s not easy to keep it off. It’s not an easy process but you gotta have dedication.”
The now 54 year old now works out regularly at the gym, and is on track to become a personal trainer. Nice work Damon!
Hitting the Big Time
The Fat Boys officially formed back in 1982, under the name of Disco 3. They quickly changed their name as they started to get more popular, and were happy to poke fun at their weight.

Adam 12 Cast: Where are they now?
But the band were already beginning to struggle with their health at this point.
“Our manager at the time would actually tell us that we were putting on too much weight…
He would tell us to calm down on the weight gaining. But there was so much stuff happening and so many things going on at the same time that we didn’t see ourselves as being fat.
We just saw ourselves as rap stars who were performing and having fun.”
Their self-titled debut studio album hit the shops in 1984 and was Gold certified, reaching number six in the US R&B/Hip-Hop chart and number 48 in the Billboard 200 chart.
The group went their separate ways in 1991 after being plagued by health issues. After Darren Robinson passed away, Damon Wimbley and Mark Morales briefly reunited in 2008, but it wasn’t set to last.
