The finale was a tense one, as fans finally got to see what happened after the horrendous train crash, which trapped Sister Julienne and Dr Patrick Turner.
After fans were assured that both these beloved characters survived the ordeal and the episode ended, viewers saw a message dedicated to a Kev Corbishley. So, what was his relation to Call the Midwife, and what happened?
Who was Kev Corbishley Call the Midwife?
Kev Corbishley wasn’t an actor on the series, but actually a member of the crew behind the show. To be more specific, Kev Corbishley worked in the Camera and Electrical Department of the period drama.
He was a standby rigger, meaning he worked on ropes, booms, lifts or hoists on a TV or film production.
Sadly, though, the beloved crew member died in early 2022. The tribute to him at the end of the series 11 finale of Call the Midwife read: “In Memory of Kev Corbishley: 1965-2022”

In the penultimate episode of the season, fans were shocked when a train that Sister Julienne and Dr Patrick Turner were travelling on crashed at Poplar station.
