The film star is also very well known for his collaborations with Seth Rogan and the two are often associated with one another as an acting pair.
As you would imagine, the star has accumulated more than substantial wealth for himself. But, accusations that have recently emerged in the media it has damaged his net worth somewhat.

He was born in Palo Alto, California on April 10 in 1917. Which makes him 43 years old. The Spiderman Actor grew up with a privileged life as his parents were also successful. His mother, Betsy Lou, is a children’s book writer and part-time actress. And, his father, Douglas Franco ran a Silicon Valley business. Hence, their son grew up surrounded by the kind of industry he is in now.

A Rocky Start
The Hollywood actor always got good grades throughout his childhood and early adulthood. But, it wasn’t all plain sailing.

The 43-year-old had always had acting in his heart. And, whilst becoming a marine biologist interested him, it was never his true passion. However, fear of failure held him back in taking his initial leap into the acting world.
He enrolled at the University of California, LA (also known as UCLA), doing an English major. But, after just one year he dropped out, much to his parent’s dismay. He dropped out to pursue his love of acting. To audition for the acting program, he would have had to wait two years. But, the budding actor was keen to start and so he took acting lessons with Robert Carnegie at the Playhouse West.
His parents, who were angry with his current life choices would not support him. So, to pay for it he started up a late-night job at McDonald’s. Whilst working here he practiced his acting as much as possible, even testing out different accents on his customers. He recalled his time there fondly:

Allegations Of Sexual Abuse Against The Actor

James Franco’s net worth took a turn as allegations of sexual abuse came out.
In 2014, a 17-year-old girl posted screenshots of messages about who she claimed to be between her and Franco. It showed messages of the 35-year-old trying to meet the 17-year-old in the hotel room, whilst being aware of her age.
In 2018 it was reported that that five women had accused Franco of inappropriate behavior or sexually exploitative behavior whilst Franco was working as their acting teacher or mentor.
One former student claimed:
“He would always make everybody think there were possible roles on the table if we were to perform sexual acts or take off our shirts”
And, in 2019, two former students from Franco’s film and acting school, Studio 4 (now closed) filed a lawsuit against him and his partners. So, the complaint accused the school of being:
”Little more than a scheme to provide him and his male collaborators with a pool of young female performers that they could take advantage of.”
But, the lawsuit has now been dropped.
