Isabel Hernaez is a Spanish journalist who has spent years in press and PR.
She currently works as a press officer in the fashion industry, and has a bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Journalism.
Isabel also co-hosts a podcast in her spare time called Esta de Moda.
While it’s not clear how long she’s been dating the Spanish racing pro, the couple are still definitely loved up. They just prefer to keep their relationship out of the limelight.
She hasn’t posted any pictures with Carlos on her Instagram, but there’s plenty of snaps from her Grand Prix weekends.

Famous Boyfriend
While Isabel Hernaez builds her career in fashion, her boyfriend Carlos is making it big in Formula 1.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Carlos Sainz has been busy working his way to the top with the likes of Renault, McLaren, and Ferrari, where he’s currently at today.
He burst onto the scene back in 2015 for Toro Rosso, where he qualified in the top ten for his debut.
But in his next practice session, tragedy struck.
Carlos lost control of his car and crashed into a wall, which saw the driver spend the night in hospital. He was unable to finish the race the following day, which impacted his points for his first season.
After another couple of crashes in later seasons, the driver’s luck finally started to turn around.
In 2019, Carlos joined McLaren, where he started to finish higher up the table.
He even took a podium spot in the Brazilian Grand Prix after Louis Hamilton received a penalty for causing a collision.

After his time with McLaren came to an end, the driver joined Ferrari.
He’s doing pretty well with his new team so far, and qualified third in this year’s season opener in the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Ferrari is currently in the lead in the Constructors Championship.
Controversy
Carlos has built a promising career so far, but this hasn’t come without controversy.
The promotional clip was posted on the social media page for Carlos Sainz Karting, a go-karting organisation in Madrid.
Carlos Sainz go-karting is owned by the F1 star’s father, but there’s no suggestion that Carlos Sainz Sr or Jr knew about the video before it was posted under their family’s business page.
It didn’t take long for internet users to spot the blackface character, and the video was quickly removed after social media backlash.

It came after the 26-year-old driver was credited for wearing F1’s official ‘End Racism’ shirts before races.
The video has refocused attention on Carlos Sainz and his related criticisms over the years…
This includes backlash against a video of the driver making racist stereotypes about the type of meat used in Chinese restaurants, as well as against his decision not to “take the knee” before F1 races.
When questioned about his decision, Carlos said:
“I have felt comfortable enough to do what I thought was appropriate and I will continue to do that.”
