Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly really is a star in the making.

After tentatively making her TV debut on children’s cooking shows, she’s now going from strength to strength thanks to her successes on This Morning and Strictly Come Dancing.

Let’s take a look back at what she’s been up to.

Gordon Ramsay Daughter

In a lot of ways, Tilly Ramsay has been following in her father’s footsteps.

She’s made a LOT of appearances on MasterChef Junior and Hell’s Kitchen, and has landed her own show, Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch, on CBBC.

She’s also starred in cooking segments on This Morning and Blue Peter, and made a surprise appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

And last year, Gordon Ramsay’s daughter announced she’d be joining the line-up for Strictly Come Dancing- and it was clear she was over the moon!

Giving her official Strictly statement, Tilly said she was:

“So excited and grateful to be joining the Strictly family! I’m always up for fun new challenges and this will be my biggest adventure yet.

I’m going to put my heart and soul into this and can’t wait to get my dancing shoes on and show my Dad how it’s really done! Bring on the glitz, glamour and sequins!”.

Tilly was partnered with dancing pro Nikita Kuzmin, and she soon started racking up huge scores from the judges.

But her time on Strictly wasn’t plain sailing…

Derogatory Comments

Gordon Ramsay’s daughter was insulted by LBC’s Steve Allen after he branded her a “chubby little thing” live on air.

During his radio show, the host said:

“Tilly Ramsay is on Celebrity MasterChef Australia, is she? Well she can’t blooming well dance, I’m bored with her already.

She’s a chubby little thing, isn’t she? Have you noticed? Probably her dad’s cooking I should imagine.”

His comments didn’t go down well with the general public, and Tilly Ramsay was understandably hurt by Steve’s unprovoked remarks.

Fans and Strictly viewers were quick to leap to her defence, as were celebrities Gemma Oaten and Love Island’s Dr Alex.

But it was Tilly who had the final say.

“I try not to read and listen to comments and negativity, however recently being called out on a national radio station by a 67-year-old man is a step too far…

At the end of the day I am only 19 and I’m so grateful for all the amazing opportunities I have been able to take part in, and I understand that being in the public eye obviously comes with its own repercussions and I’ve been aware of this from a young age.

However, I won’t tolerate people that think it’s okay to publicly comment and scrutinise anyone’s weight and appearance”.

Tilly went on to thank the public for their support, and Gordon Ramsay himself said that he was “very proud” of how she’d handled things.

Go Tilly!

Steve later apologised for his comments.

Strictly Tour

After finishing in sixth place on the hit dance show, Gordon Ramsay’s daughter is now taking part in the Strictly Live Tour. And despite her injuries, she seems to be loving every minute.

Tilly Ramsay Boyfriend: Who is Gordon Ramsay’s daughter dating?

Days after her dance partner Nikita tested positive for coronavirus, Tilly ended up taking a tumble during her live performance. But she was able to brush things off fairly quickly.

Taking to Instagram to poke fun at herself, she captioned the video of her fall with “and down she goes”. Bless her.

Tilly followed this with a few crying emojis, as well as “Floor: 1 – Me: 0”.

She ended up with a fair few scratches and bruises the next day, and later described them as her “war wounds”.
