Gino Carano has gone from an MMA wrestler to Hollywood actress in the blink of an eye.

Her most famous relationship is with kickboxer Kevin Ross, who is known as “The Soul Assassin”.
After moving in similar circles (Gina was a wrestler at the time) the pair started dating. And the actress has always been quick to credit Kevin for kickstarting her MMA career.
“I went and saw [Kevin] train and the Muay Thai master called me fat.
He told me, ‘Hey, baby, you need to train; you’re too fat; you need to train.’ I was overweight at the time, and so I signed up and ever since then my life has changed and taken off.
He really did start off my career and gave me meaning to my life…When we were dating we used to beat the crap out of each other.”

Gina and Kevin were together for four years before eventually parting ways.
After her time with Kevin Ross, the star went on to date Superman heartthrob Henry Cavill for a while. We’re jealous!
While the pair looked amazing together, things weren’t set to last between the couple. They split after just a few months.
Gina Carano then ended up getting back together with Kevin Ross in 2015, and they’ve been super loved up ever since.
Career
After Kevin pushed Gina further into MMA training, the star’s status began to rise.
She was contracted to UFC before making the move to film and TV, and landed a role in 2005 cult film Ring Girls.
Gina Carano then went on to star in everything from Fast & Furious 6 to Deadpool.

Controversy
While the martial arts fighter turned actress has enjoyed some huge successes, her Hollywood career came to an abrupt end this year after she sparked some extreme social media controversy.
Gina Carano received backlash after she implied that being a Republican today is like being Jewish during the Holocaust.
She later deleted the tweet, but the damage was already done.
Screenshots of her tweet spread on social media like wildfire, with many calling for the actress to be sacked from her exclusive role in The Mandalorian.

This was the latest in a LONG history of problematic tweets from the star. She’d previously mocked people for wearing masks during the coronavirus pandemic, and suggested that voter fraud had occurred during the 2020 presidential election.

“They [producers] have been looking for a reason to fire her for two months, and today was the final straw”.
Gina Carano was then axed from The Mandalorian- and would no longer be involved in any Star Wars related projects.
In a statement from Lucasfilm, a spokesperson said:
“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future.
Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
The actress was also dropped as a client by her talent agency UTA .
