George Lamb has become a TV and radio staple over the years.
If he’s not busy finding new tunes on BBC Radio 6 Music, he’s been keeping tabs on the football results over on BT Sport. But what is the star up to these days?
Let’s catch up on all things George Lamb!
George Lamb: Farm Life
While George Lamb is generally found in more glamourous settings, the presenter is now getting stuck into farm life- with Groove Armada, obviously.
Keen to do something more sustainable in his career, the presenter has set up Wildfarmed with two pals; Groove Armada star Andy Cato and businessman Edd Lees.
While George Lamb has had a successful career so far, he was growing tired of showbiz, and keen to focus on something more meaningful.

Phillip Schofield Holly Willoughby: This Morning’s best moments
He’s now on a mission to make sustainable farming the future after he and his friends were determined to forge a new path in life.
The Bank Job presenter said:
“I worked my way up… Life was good, I was making lots of money and enjoying the surface level benefits that commercial success brings you — but it felt empty.
I remember calling my dad one morning and telling him how I was feeling, he said: ‘Well son, you’re a game show host, it’s not very serious in the big scheme of things, is it?’.
I decided it was time for a change. I called my agent, told him I was taking some time out, sold my house, got rid of all my stuff and went off for some deeper introspective inquiry.”
The presenter originally planned to take just a year out. But it’s now been three years- and his firm is going from strength to strength.
George’s company buys wheat from UK farmers who sow seeds directly into grass without disturbing the soil. Wildfarmed then mills the wheat which is used by partner bakers and restaurants.
Career
While George Lamb has now shifted gear towards sustainable farming, it wasn’t always this way.
For the vast majority of his life, showbiz has been the main focus. His dad Larry hit the big time when George was young, so it was a natural step for him in his career.
After spending years in radio, the presenter scored a daytime slot on BBC Radio 6 Music, which he maintained for two years.

His TV career started in 2007 when he replaced Alex Zane as the host of BBC reality show Celebrity Scissorhands. He then returned in 2008 for the third series.
But George Lamb’s big break came with Big Brother’s Little Brother, which quickly made the presenter a household name.
Since then, he’s gone on to present The Bank Job and EastEnders Live.
Family
We’ve loved watching George Lamb spend time with his famous dad over the years- and the pair are super close.
Larry Lamb is a hugely successful actor, and has starred in everything from EastEnders to Gavin and Stacey. But it seems that audiences are actually now more interested in Larry’s adventures with his son!
Back in 2011, the pair were commissioned for a reality show for ITV2 called The Parent Trip. It was a chance for George and Larry to document their travels as they jetted off to the likes of Namibia and Turkey.

The pair had plenty of laughs on their journeys, and it seemed that their travels had a profound effect on both of them.
George ended up going vegetarian after his time in Namibia, while Larry seemed to get a taste for the outdoors and booked a slot on I’m a Celeb.
