Emily Roeske shot to fame as Sophie Piper in the Disney hit Halloweentown all those years ago.
After becoming a hugely successful child star, the young actress slowly disappeared from the limelight, and began to focus on her other passions.
So where exactly is the actress now?

Emily Roeske hit the big time when she was just seven years old.
Halloweentown premiered in 1998, and became an immediate hit on the Disney Channel.
Playing the adorable (and slightly bratty) Sophie Piper, Emily was pretty good at charming audiences- especially when her character wanted a cookie!
She was essentially a super-gifted witch, and the film focused on the magical family as they got to grips with their powers. Which gave Emily Roeske plenty of time to shine, naturally.

It’s a role that Emily Roeske still looks back at fondly, even if she doesn’t actually act anymore.
She treated her Instagram followers to a cute blast from the past with a snap from the original Halloweentown premiere. And the former child star was quick to poke fun at her crimped hairstyle!
Emily wrote:

Career
After the first Halloweentown film received such as huge response, it was inevitable that the hit movie would develop into a franchise.
But while we absolutely LOVED Sophie Piper, she took a less central role in the later films. Boo.
The rest of the films focused on big sister Marnie, even though she struggled to control her powers like Sophie did. Emily Roeske didn’t actually end up making an appearance in the final film, which devastated fans (us included).
In Return to Halloweentown, it was implied that Sophie was continuing her witches’ studies with Grandma Aggie. It’s nice to know she wasn’t forgotten completely, but still.

Meanwhile, Emily was asserting herself with other roles. The actress was busy starring in everything from 3 Ninjas at High Noon to Fell’s Redeemer during the late 1990s, and then moved on to cameo roles in ER.
Super-fans of the films will already know that the films’ star Kimberly J. Brown (a.k.a Marcie) is still in Hollywood and has gone from child star to grown-up actor. But same can’t be said for Emily Roeske, who has taken a pretty unexpected path…
Martial Arts
Emily Roeske is now a serious martial arts enthusiast- and she’s even made it big in competitions too!
She’s been practicing martial arts with her brother for more than nine years, and the pair now run their very own family karate sessions. So she does still perform, in a sense…
The former actress teaches American Freestyle Karate, and she’s also an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer.
Emily was awarded with a second-degree black belt in American Freestyle Karate in 2004, and has won several national and world championships. Go Emily!

According to her bio on her business site, the child star was formerly ranked number 1 in the entire US, and she’s the current Arizona State Champion. Oh, and she’s also ranked for her Muay Thai skills.
The former actress has also settled down with her husband Mitch Chapman, and they live a relatively quiet life in Surprise, Arizona with their dogs.
They had got hitched in a super-cute family ceremony back in 2013.
And Emily Roeske is now a mum too!
She gave birth to her daughter Evie three years after she married, and her three other kids came along shortly afterwards. She now has two boys and two girls with Mitch, and it seems like she’s enjoying every minute out of the spotlight with her growing family.
