Elise Morgan: Who is Piers Morgan’s daughter?
Being the only daughter of broadcasting legend Piers Morgan, little Elise Morgan has her dad wrapped around her little finger. But who is she and what is she like?
Elise hasn’t quite made a name for herself yet being so young. However, having a father as famous as Piers Morgan has launched her into the spotlight, especially with the amount of sweet Instagram photos he shares of her!
Elise Morgan:
According to various online accounts Elise was born Elise Pughe-Morgan on 23 November 2011 to parents Piers and Celia.
Her November birthday makes her a Sagittarius (if you believe in that kind of thing!)
Her current age is 10 and she is thought to be around four feet and eleven inches.
It is thought that she is currently in year six at school, though the name of her primary school has not been made public.
She is a British girl and both her parents are famous journalists.
Elise Morgan’s Dad Piers Morgan:
For those of you who have been living under a rock, Elise is the youngest child of British journalist Piers Morgan, best known in the US for his fiery opinions about Meghan Markle.
His fierce arguments against Meghan’s behaviour since joining the Royal Family has even caused him to walk off the set of Good Morning Britain – the show he formerly hosted.
Piers officially left his position at GMB on March 2021.
Nonetheless, the TV star still has a reputation of being fierce in debates, taking on anyone who dares be too ‘woke’ in his presence.
But if you suspect Piers has a soft spot deep down… you are absolutely right! Look no further than his nine-year-old daughter Elise.
Elise Morgan’s adorable relationship with Piers:
Elise is clearly the apple of her father’s eye, and some of the photos and stories on his social media are truly adorable.
One hilarious photo shared on his Instagram page, where he boasts 1.8 million followers, shows the two are very much alike.
The picture shows Elise posing by her dad with a serious of hilarious facial expressions.
We can only assume she is doing an impression of her dad during one of his many infamous Good Morning Britain debates!
They also spend a lot of quality time together, with Piers sharing pictures of Elise in her winning pose after beating her dad in a game of Chess.
Posting the defeat on Instagram, he wrote: “I knew letting her watch Queen’s Gambit was a mistake. She’s just beaten me in 4 moves. I will never live this down.”
Elise Morgan following in her dad’s footsteps:
It looks like Elise could be gracing out TV screens in the future just like her dad!
Piers uploaded an adorable snap to his Instagram of Elise trying out the GMB camera kit with a notepad and fluffy pen.
He captioned the post “Elise Morgan reporting live from her father’s office, via the new self-isolation camera kit.”
Its not yet known whether she will be as tough as her father Piers, or more of a Susanna Reid, but only time will tell…
Elise Morgan’s family:
Piers Morgan and his second wife Celia welcomed Elise in 2011, one year after their marriage.
Piers is a father of four with three sons, Spencer William Morgan, Albert Douglas Morgan, and Stanley Christopher Morgan.
He had his sons with his first wife Marion Shalloe, who he was married to from 1991 to 2008.
Piers often shares pictures of him and his boys bonding and spending time together as well as his time with Elise.
Elise’s mother is Celia Walden, a British journalist, novelist, and critic who is the daughter of former Conservative Party Member of Parliament George Walden. She was educated at Westminster School and Cambridge University.
Piers and Elise support hospital staff during Covid-19:
During the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK many families joined a campaign called “clap for carers”. This is where British people would stand at their doors and give a round of applause to National Health Service (NHS) staff who helped provide support during the pandemic.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Elise and her famous father Piers Morgan have been vocal about hailing the NHS heroes fighting on the frontline.
In one Instagram post, the father and daughter can be seen getting into the spirit of the Clap for Carers campaign as Piers claps and Elise hits a metal pan with a wooden spoon.
The caption reads: “Clapping & pan-bashing for our healthcare heroes. Great to see this become a weekly event. They have never needed our support more.”
So heartwarming to see!
Carrying on the campaign, many children have been sharing their rainbow drawings and paintings to raise awareness and give thanks to those working in the NHS.
Elise was no exception, making Piers a very proud dad.
He posted a sweet snap of the nine-year-old holding her rainbow on his Instagram. The picture reads: “You are heroes #ThankYouNHS”
