The couple were smitten for seven years, but Eddie Boxshall and Denise Van Outen finally called time on their relationship earlier this year.
Eddie was at the centre of a LOT of scandal at the time of their split, and seems that Denise is finding comfort from her ex, Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay.
So what exactly happened between Eddie and Denise?

Months before their break-up, rumours were circling that Eddie was cheating on Denise. And these rumours eventually proved themselves right.
Denise said she had found pictures and Instagram messages on Eddie’s iPad, detailing the affair in her new autobiography, A Bit Of Me: From Basildon to Broadway and Back.
“Among photos was a screenshot… of a woman’s breasts – and they definitely weren’t mine!
Also, there was a flirty text exchange between Eddie and this woman, which, of course, set off alarm bells.”

The TV star has kept a relatively low profile since her split with Eddie, but she’s started to open up about her relationship breakdown over the past couple of months.
She appeared on Lorraine in March where she said she is doing ‘okay’ but struggled at the beginning.
The actress said:
“I’m feeling really good now because I wasn’t in a good place, it was all a bit of a shock.
These things happen. I’m not the first person it’s happened to and I won’t be the last, sadly.
You just have to get on with it and there are no hard feelings on my side… I can’t change what’s happened.”
Relationship Timeline
The couple first got together in 2014 after being set up on a blind date by TV presenter Zoe Hardman.
Denise and Eddie continued to date for another five years before they finally decided to move in together.

The couple both already had children from their previous relationships (five in total!) so they weren’t really keen on having anymore at this point. They just wanted to keep their relationship slow and steady.
And fans got a cheeky insight into their family life when the pair joined the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox. Fans were in stitches at their banter, and were hoping that they’d tie the knot at some point too…
But in January 2022, the allegations of cheating finally hit the press, and Denise got rid of Eddie straight away.
Fallout
After their public split, Denise hasn’t said all that much about Eddie. But she’s picking herself up and moving forward the best she can.
Opening up on The One Show, the former Neighbours star said that it has ‘been hard,’ but she is ‘in a really good place at the moment’.
“I’ve done a lot of my crying at home and I’ve got through that part of it, and like I said I’ve only put in the book all the facts of everything that happened that led to the breakdown of the relationship.”
While Denise has taken a dignified approach to the split, the same can’t be said for Eddie…
He took to Instagram to share some sweary posts after he and Denise finally unfollowed each other.

The former Gogglebox star was quick to post a meme with a cartoon fist-bump including a message about moving on- but it all felt a bit cringe.
“Unf*** yourself.
“Be who you were before all the stuff happened that dimmed your f***ing shine.”
Eddie wrote next to the post: “Be who you were!!” This was followed by a winking emoji a fist bump and the hashtags “#dontchange” and “#getyourshineback.”
Eddie’s continued to post other cryptic messages about moving on, which he’s now deleted.
