Steve Finan O’Connor has been married to Denise since 2006, and the couple live together in their idyllic home in Buckinghamshire.

Steve Finan O’Connor is the son of the legendary late comedian and game show host Tom O’Connor, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Steve has worked as a music manager in the past- and he definitely seems multi-talented!
He used to be the manager of Neneh Cherry, Madness and All Saints, and now works as a property developer.

But Steve hasn’t given up with the music industry just yet. He still retains a handful of high-profile clients- including One Direction’s Liam Payne.
The couple married back in 2006, and their marriage has gone from strength to strength.
Steve isn’t afraid to step into the spotlight with his famous wife, and Denise has continually praised her other half for being her “Man of Steel”.
In a heartfelt Instagram post to celebrate their eleventh anniversary, Denise Lewis wrote:
“Thank you to all my friends and family who have been there for us through the good and not so easy times, but the biggest thank you goes to my ‘Man of Steel’…
It’s a good job you like a challenge!”.
Family Life
Denise Lewis and Steve Finan O’Connor have three sons together; 5-year-old Ryan, 12-year-old Kane and 2-year-old Troy.
While initially thinking she was pre-menopausal, the athlete announced she was pregnant again at 45 back in 2018. And it was clear that she was delighted.
Denise made the surprise announcement on Twitter, and shared a picture of herself in a bikini with a brand new baby bump.

“Well Twitter friends, I haven’t let myself go. I’m eating for two. Excited and a little nervous even though I have been here before, but hoping for a healthy and trouble free pregnancy #number4 #oldermom #babynews”.
The couple were happy to chat to the press during Denise’s pregnancy, and Steve struggled to contain his excitement. Bless him!
“I was ecstatic when we found out. Denise is an amazing mum and she loves babies. I’ve told her she needs to open a birthing suite if she wants anymore.
I’m head of entertainment and she is head of health and safety and education. We make a good team and the kids are great”.
Previous Relationships
While Denise and Steve are a rock solid team, things weren’t always this way.
The gold medallist was actually married once before- to Belgian sprinter Patrick Stevens.
He won the bronze medal in the 200 metres at the 1994 European Championships in Helsinki, and a silver medal in the 200 metres at the 2000 European Indoor Championships.

And this clearly impressed Denise!
The couple’s relationship lasted from the late 1990s to 2005. They even had a child together- daughter Lauryn, who is now in her late teens.
Denise’s new husband Steve also has a child from a previous relationship, who is called Joe.
But this hasn’t been a problem for Denise and Steve. They have their own well-oiled system in looking after the kids- and Denise is usually the one that does all the night feeds.
“There was no point in us both being tired.
Steve’s a few years older than me and needs his sleep and I know I’ve got a big engine.”
