While David Packouz isn’t a celebrity as such, he was thrown into the limelight after the film War Dogs was made about his life.

The former arms dealer has had a pretty colourful career so far, which has left fans wanting to know more about his relationship status.

So does David Packouz actually have a wife?

Let’s investigate…

David Packouz Wife

It’s believed that David does have a wife (or had one previously)- but she stays well away from the public eye. He’s never been spotted with his wife, and he doesn’t have any pictures of his partner on Instagram either.

The former arms dealer has one daughter called Amabelle Jane. She’s already made a couple of appearances in her dad’s YouTube videos.

Apparently she was born in February 2007, so she’s around 13 years old now.

David does his best to be a positive influence on his daughter, but things weren’t always this way…

When he was 23 years old, he joined partner Efraim Diveroli in his arms company AEY Inc. The company was hugely successful, and by the end of 2006, they had 149 contracts worth around $10.5 million.

This was just the beginning for David and Efraim. They went on to score a contract with the US government to get weapons into Afghanistan, which was worth a whopping $300 million dollars.

At this point, the business partners started cutting corners.

The ammunition they bought to fulfil their contract with the government came from China. This wasn’t legally allowed under their government contract.

David was eventually sentenced to seven months of house arrest for conspiracy to defraud the United States. But he got off lightly compared to Efraim…

As he was the owner of AEY Inc, he was sentenced to four years in prison.

War Dogs

After his contract with the US government gained so much publicity, it didn’t take long before a book was published about David and Efraim’s story.

Canadian journalist Guy Lawson wrote a book called Arms and the Dudes, which was later developed into the movie War Dogs.

Dominic Foppoli: The former mayor under investigation

The film was directed by Todd Phillips, and starred Jonah Hill and Miles Teller, who portrayed David and Efraim.

David also worked as a consultant on the film, and was open with producers and journalists about how he and Efraim used to work.

“Here I was dealing with matters of international security, and I was half-baked.

I didn’t know anything about the situation in that part of the world. But I was a central player in the Afghan war — and if our delivery didn’t make it to Kabul, the entire strategy of building up the Afghanistan army was going to fail.”

David and Efraim’s continual use of marijuana was featured in War of Dogs, as was their frayed relationship.

Apparently Efraim was becoming harder and harder to deal with. He was more focused on partying than anything else.

David Packouz has now distanced himself from his former partner, and is continuing to turn his life around.

Music Career

He’s made a few mistakes along the way, but David Packouz has finally found a more legitimate way of making money.

His love of music has brought new success to his life. In 2014, he invented a drum machine called the “Beat Buddy” and went on to found Singular Sound, a music accessory company.

David has also formed a partnership with the non-profit charity, Guitars Over Guns, which provides music technology to underprivileged youth.

So how does the former arms dealer feel about his new life?

“I’m so much happier, being able to work in a business where I get to be creative and improve people’s lives.”
