Sunnie Dyer: Who Are All Danny Dyer’s Children?

EastEnders’ Danny Dyer has made a name for himself by playing typically “hard-man” characters. In fact, we probably know more about his TV and film characters – such as Mick Carter – than about the man himself.

Outside of his work, though, Danny is a dedicated family man. The actor has three children, each of them very different in age but all of them with a typical happy-go-lucky Danny Dyer personality.

So, let’s find out all about Danny Dyer’s children, starting not with the most famous child, but with the middle child, Sunnie Dyer.

Who is Sunnie Dyer?

Sunnie Jo Dyer is Danny Dyer’s second child, born on the 26th of April 2007. That makes her 15 years old.

Despite only being a young teen, Sunnie has managed to rack up over 70,000 followers on her Instagram. This is mainly thanks to the fame of her older sister – the two siblings are very close.

Sunnie Dyer isn’t often seen in public – certainly not as much as her sis – but the family did appear on Channel 4’s Parenting for Idiots in 2017.

Last year, Danny brought Sunnie along to the National Television Awards. Sunnie and her father posed together for pictures on Instagram, with Sunnie wearing her sister Dani’s latest clothing line from In the Style.

Though she’s still only young, it seems like Sunnie has plans to join the rest of her family in the spotlight. In fact, it seems like she wants to follow in her father’s footsteps and become an actor.

Speaking at the launch of his show The Flight Attendant, Danny said: “She is going to be the biggest star out of all of us. I will tell you that right now. She is only 15 but she is the most talented by far.”

Danny’s Other Children

Aside from Sunnie, Danny is a dad to two other children. Love Island star Dani is probably the most well-known – but did you know that Danny was just 18 years old when he had his first daughter?

Danny has spoken about his difficult journey to fatherhood, saying that in the end it only made him and Dani closer.

He explained: “I was a baby when I had Dani – I couldn’t even shave. So me and my eldest daughter have grown up together. We are very close and she can tell me anything.”

Aside from Sunnie and Dani, there’s one other Dyer sibling – youngest son, Arty. He was born in 2013, just days before Danny started filming for EastEnders. He didn’t know it at the time, but this would be his most famous role to date!

However, Arty’s birth wasn’t exactly straightforward. He explained: “There was a moment where it seemed a real possibility that something could go very wrong.

I had started in EastEnders just three days before. I knew this job had saved us because, financially, we were not in a good place. I went in and hit the ground running but inside I was dying. All I could think of was my little boy lying in his little incubator.”

Becoming a Grandad

Danny’s family grew last year as his daughter Dani had her first child. Her little boy, called Santiago, was born in January 2021, making Danny Dyer a grandad at the age of just 43.

Since then, Danny has made it clear that he wants to be a hands-on grandparent. He’s been spotted on days out with his daughter and grandchild, with Danny and Dani taking it in turns to carry little Santiago.

However, Dani’s journey to motherhood hasn’t been without its drama.

Santiago’s father, Sammy Kimmence, is now serving time in jail for scamming pensioners out of £34,000. He was officially jailed in July 2021, the six-month anniversary of Santiago’s birth.

He will serve three-and-a-half years in jail, missing a huge portion of Santiago’s childhood. The two split when Dani found out about his crimes, though she has since admitted that they will have to stay close because of Santiago.

She said: “Obviously, I will always have a relationship with Santi’s dad, it’s very different when you have children. You’re tied together by blood and you’re always going to have a relationship there. But there’s still a line.

Why would you want to be friends with an ex? You want to move on with your life. You split up for a reason. I feel like if you’ve split up with someone just leave it.”
