Whether you love him or loathe him, it’s safe to say that Daniel Tosh has had a super successful career.

While it’s hard to think of him as a family man, the controversial comedian and TV host has actually been married since 2016.

So what do we know about Daniel Tosh’s wife Carly Hallam?

Let’s get the goss…

Daniel Tosh Wife

Daniel Tosh’s wife Carly Hallam has a pretty stellar career of her own so far.

She was a writer and story editor for hit comedy show Brooklyn 99, and also wrote for her husband’s show Tosh.0 before it got cancelled.

According to her IMDb page, Carly has also worked on the likes of And Two If by Sea and New Low.

It’s not super clear which projects she’s now working on, as she hasn’t actually updated her Twitter since 2018.

Both Daniel Tosh and Carly Hallam kept their wedding VERY under wraps; in fact, they didn’t even discuss their big day until two years later!

Apparently they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Malibu, California on April 15th, 2016.

According to the Daily Mail, the pair started dating way back in 2010, but have rarely been photographed together. The couple are notoriously private, so this isn’t a huge surprise.

Career

Daniel Tosh’s wife was an integral part of his show over the years- and the Comedy Central host has continued to pull in audiences thanks to his, erm, VERY unique brand of humour.

The comedian started out on the comedy circuit as soon as he had finished college, and soon began to drum up interest in his sketches.

After his act was televised at the Just For Laughs event in Montreal, Daniel was invited to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

This was the star’s big break, and he soon picked up gigs on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Comedy Central began giving Daniel Tosh more and more airtime, and he was soon showcasing his work in the likes of  Daniel Tosh: Completely Serious and animated sitcom Brickleberry, which the star produced himself.

He even ended up scoring parts in The Love Guru movie and MTV’s Punk’d at the height of his career.

In 2009, Daniel Tosh landed yet another slot with Comedy Central for his TV show Tosh.0, which showcased some of the weirdest video clips on the internet.

A lot of his punchlines were intentionally self-deprecating, racist, sexist, and homophobic, and the show eventually got cancelled.

Controversy

While Carly Hallam lives a fairly low key life away from the cameras, the same can’t be said about her husband.

Daniel Tosh seems to revel in the limelight, and will hit the headlines by any means necessary.

Back in 2012, he was the subject of huge controversy after he decided to make a target rape “joke” to an audience member.

During his set at the Laugh Factory, the Comedy Central host made a joke at audience member and said:

“Wouldn’t it be funny if that girl [referring to an audience member who “heckled” him about rape jokes not being funny earlier in his set] got raped by, like, five guys right now? Like right now?”.

The incident soon went viral.

Tyler Cameron: Who is the star dating?

While fans were quick to come to the defence of the star, Daniel Tosh began facing a huge backlash.

He was later forced to apologise, but it didn’t seem particularly sincere.

The comedian has openly spoken about his desire to tell offensive jokes- in fact, his entire career seems to be based on it…

Speaking to the press, Daniel Tosh said:

“I’m not a misogynistic and racist person…But I do find those jokes funny, so I say them.”
