Most fans will know journalist Dan Walker from his job presenting BBC Breakfast. Recently, though, he’s had his dancing shoes on.
The reporter is starring in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing, paired with the lovely Nadiya Bychkova.
After Dan shared a glowing tribute to his wife after his waltz last month, many fans are wondering: who is the BBC journalist married to?
So here’s everything you need to know about Dan Walker’s wife.
Who is Dan Walker’s Wife?
Dan Walker’s wife made a surprise appearance on one of last month’s Strictly episodes. She was pictured cheering her husband on from the Strictly audience, while Dan made a tribute to his wife after his tricky waltz.
He was dancing to Billy Joel’s ‘She’s Always A Woman’, which Dan said was one of his wife’s favourite songs.
After the dance, the aspiring dancer said:
“I’m going to gush over her for a moment, because she’s one of those people the more you know her the more you love her.
I’ve known her and loved her for over half of my life. She’s absolutely amazing she’s such a special person I absolutely love her to bits and I just hope she enjoyed that.”

Paul Whitehouse Wife: The Real Story Of The Actor’s Marriage
Dan Walker’s wife is Sarah Walker. The two have been married for over 20 years and met at the University of Sheffield.
In 2018, they moved back to the city where they met, meaning Dan has a one-and-a-half-hour commute to work in Salford.
At the time, he said: “My wife Sarah and I moved to Sheffield last year because it’s played a big part in our lives – we both studied here and it’s where I began broadcasting.”
Dan has also let slip that Sarah had banned him from choosing a movie for date night after a disastrous night in June.
“Just watched #Tenet with Mrs Walker… or at least we think we did! I have no idea what it was about,” he said.
My wife has banned me from making film suggestions for at least 6 months.”
Does Dan Walker Have Children?
Dan Walker and his wife actually have three children – though they haven’t been glimpsed together until Dan’s appearance on Strictly Come Dancing.
They have two daughters, Susanna and Jessica, and one son named Joe.

This year, Dan showed a few lovely pictures from daughter Susie’s 14th birthday. The pictures gave an interesting glimpse into his family home.
Dan captioned the photo: “Happy Birthday to our amazing, gorgeous, kind and wonderful 14-year-old Susie.
She wanted waffles for breakfast, a chocolate brownie cake with sprinkles for later & some brown converse high-tops (which are surprisingly hard to find).”
Their home is unsurprisingly beautiful. It features a spacious country-style kitchen, a cosy living room, and a garden big enough to cater for family parties.
Not forgetting one extra member of the Walker household: their beloved dog Winnie.
His Strictly Journey
Dan Walker was already a household name with his morning broadcasts on BBC Breakfast. Now, he’s gaining more fans with his turn on Strictly Come Dancing.
So far, Dan has sailed through the show, though he hasn’t reached any high scores. His best score so far is 28 in weeks five and seven.
However, Dan Walker’s wife is still cheering him on from the sidelines, and even getting emotional at his performances like last week’s Viennese Waltz.

Tilly Ramsay Boyfriend: Who Is Gordon Ramsay’s Daughter Dating?
However, while Dan Walker’s wife might be enjoying the show, many fans think Dan has gone too far.
Last week, his street dance-inspired routine got 28 points – the second-lowest of the night – but he was saved from the dance-off.
Instead, Adam Peaty and Tilly Ramsay fought it out, with Adam eventually leaving the show. In the wake of this, many fans argued online that Dan was receiving ‘special privileges for working for the BBC.
