Chris Kamara:

Whether it be for his days on the pitch or his hilarious commentary for Sky, Chris Kamara will always have a place in the hearts of football fans.

Chris Kamara aka “Kammy” worked as a presenter and football analyst at Sky Sports.

Chris is also a former English professional football player who played as a midfielder.

He played for various clubs such as Portsmouth, Swindon Town, Brentford, and many others .

Chris has also managed a bunch of English clubs such as Bradford City manager and Stoke City.

He is probably most famous for his iconic blunders, including the time he was commentating a Portsmouth vs Blackburn game.

A red card was issued and the camera turned to Chris to explain, but he’d completely missed what was going on.

Chris uttered the iconic words: “I don’t know Jeff, has there? I must’ve missed that”

To which the studio erupted with laughter.

Chris Kamara wife:

Mr Kamara has spent plenty of time on the pitch but also managed to settle down and have a wife and family off the pitch.

Chris Kamara married his wife Anne in 1982 and the couple have two children together.

Their names are Ben and Jack Kamara.

Chris’ wife Anne Kamara is leading a very private life.

The wives of public figures have become an interest for many people as they are curious in knowing more about them.

Although, most famous people and celebs are not too open about their other halves, especially if they don’t have a career in TV or the public eye.

However, Chris does release snippets about his wife and family in interviews.

This includes her worries about his health.

Anne’s fears about Chris Kamara’s health:

Last year it was revealed that Chris’ wife Anne Kamara had encouraged Chris to undergo a brain scan to check for signs of dementia.

It was part of a discussion on Steph’s Packed Lunch about Kammy’s fellow pundit, Gary Lineker, who himself admitted to dementia fears.

Chris shared his plans to get his own brain tested this summer and it seems his wife Anne is super caring, and worries a lot about her husband’s health.

Chris Kamara was prompted to visit a doctor after his wife Anne, spotted signs of an issue during an appearance on The One Show.

Kammy told host Steph: “I’m going for a scan next Monday… we talked about it [dementia] on the programme, I went home and she [wife Anne] said: ‘You’re all blasé? You think you’ve had a fabulous career, if it all ended tomorrow, that would be fine. What about the grandkids, what about me? Get checked, there might be something you can do’.”

He then added: “It’s a precaution. It’s not part of the ageing process, like other people [when] you start to lose your memory. You think, ‘I’m getting old’. You’re there but you’re not there if you get dementia, which is horrible.”

Steph then quizzed Kammy on whether he was concerned about having the scan. To which he replied: “No. I’ve had a great life.”

Chris Kamara health diagnosis:

The pundit has now got to the bottom of his health issues, and last month he revealed he has been suffering from apraxia of speech.

Chris Kamara opened up on his speech disorder after a number of concerned viewers and his wife Anne noticed his speech was “slurred” while he was covering a recent League One match.

Kammy vowed to “beat” the condition, which impacts speaking as it affects the process of sending messages from the brain to the mouth in order to form intended words.

Last month Chris officially confirmed he will temporarily step away from his role reporting on matches for Soccer Saturday so that he can focus on his health.

Chris Kamara relationship with wife:

Chris Kamara appears to have a loving bond with his wife and both seem to share a great sense of humour.

The couple even make reference to that iconic football moment, with the star tweeting: “My wife just asked me ‘as someone who can’t do two things a once, how come you have just watched two football matches at the same time’ I had to say “I dunno Jeff”  well it made me laugh!”

Now and again Chris posts little tributes to his wife on social media.

To mark their 35th anniversary Chris tweeted: “35 years married today, condolences to my long suffering wife” paired with three crying laughing emojis.

Another tweet that hints at Anne’s youthful looks reads: “My wife is chuffed (over the moon) that the delivery bloke has just asked her for ID for some Gin she ordered. The irony is she doesn’t drink and it’s Alcohol free”

It seems Anne has always supported Chris in his career, with the football legend even once referring to her as his chauffeur.

He wrote: “My Chauffeur (my wife) is refusing 2pick me up from Wakey Station if I miss my stop again. I blame the trains they rock you 2sleep rattler”
