While Dion Dublin is more than happy to spend time in the limelight, his wife is a lot more private.
The pair have been married for many years now, but there’s still debate as to whether the footballer’s wife is actually called Cheryl or Louise Dublin!

Louise Dublin?
A quick internet search will tell you that Dion’s wife is called Louise Dublin, but this isn’t actually correct. Her name is Cheryl- also know as Chezza to her celebrity pals!
Nobody really knows how long the couple have been married for, but it seems like their relationship is going from strength to strength.
Dion and Cheryl have been regularly involved with charity work, and have recently been raising money for an animal charity.

The footballer revealed that Cheryl would be running a 5k every day for the month of May in a bid to raise cash for dog’s charity.
In the social media snap, Dion captioned:
“My wife Cheryl will be running 5k a day in May to help raise money for the pet blood bank. Any donations greatly appreciated or if you have a dog who may be able to donate blood please check out their Twitter page @petbloodbank“.
Family Life
While the couple keep their marriage fairly low profile, they sometimes give fans updates on their family life with daughter Ruby.
Dion and Cheryl kept Ruby’s birth under wraps, but it’s thought that Ruby is around 2 years old now.
Ruby makes a few appearances on Dion’s Instagram page– and she’s absolutely adorable.
In a sweet photo from their family holiday in Portugal, Dion penned: “Sunday afternoon scoops in the heat!” as his daughter tucked into an ice cream. And Ruby looked pretty chuffed about her time in the sun with her parents!

Fans were quick to comment on just how much Ruby looks like Dion, and agreed that Ruby is a proper little beauty.
“That little cutie has the best smile”, wrote one fan, whilst another agreed: “An adorable little girl, that smile is heart-warming.”
The doting dad has so far shared pictures of his daughter joining him at the pub, at restaurants, and even while he does his morning workouts.
Husband Dion
Before becoming an in-demand TV presenter, Dion Dublin enjoyed a glittering football career.
He was capped four times for England, and also played for Manchester United, Coventry City, Millwall, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Celtic along the way.
The former footballer also happens to be a super-talented percussionist, and even invented his own instrument he called “The Dube”. Whatever makes you happy Dion!
While football is still a huge passion for the star, he’s been spending time on other TV projects like BBC’s Homes Under The Hammer. He began presenting the show in 2015.

During an interview back in 2018, Dion said:
“It was a surprising move for a footballer, I suppose.
I got a bit of stick off my old team-mates, who said things like, ‘What do you know?’ and ‘I can’t get rid of you, you’re there every time I turn on my TV.’
Even now, people still tweet occasionally and say, ‘What is Dion Dublin doing?’ But most of it’s been in good humour.”
But Dion still gets involved in football. He currently works as a football pundit for both Sky and BBC, and occasionally provides commentary for televised FA Cup games.
