Cardi B is on track for world domination at this point. She’s become a huge global phenomenon thanks to her rapping talents, and she’s had quite the transformation along the way too.
After the cash started pouring in, Cardi B had surgery to fix her teeth, and her smile is now unrecognisable.
Let’s look back at her HUGE transformation.

Before she was the global icon she is now, Cardi B was a reality star and aspiring rapper who was known for her over-the-top Instagram videos, where her “baby teeth” were on full display.
At first, it didn’t seem like Cardi B was that bothered about her teeth. If there was any potential surgery for the star, it was always going to be a Brazilian Butt Lift!
In her now-deleted tweet, the rapper said:
“Nope I think BBL before teeth ….Nikka’s trick on a girl with a body and a gap before they do with a b*** wit a nice smile.
BBL is your investment for your teeth. Plus BBL $6,000-$15,000 … Good Veneers $20,000-50,000.”

But as her status soared, she found that more and more tabloids and gossip columns had opinions on her smile, which made her steadily more self-conscious.
So much so, she even ended up rapping about her teeth in her song Best Life, where she quipped:
“Fore I fixed my teeth, man, those comments used to kill me”.
The star opened up about the comments that she received, and she wasn’t happy about the fixation on her smile.
“Everybody just destroys your inner confidence… it’s like damn, fix your mouth, fix your teeth… it brings you down a little bit”.
She also revealed that she got a lot of offers from dentists by the time she hit 500,000 followers on social media, but she was still reluctant to fix it.
But when she realised that her status would be growing even more, Cardi B finally decided to have surgery to replace her teeth with veneers.
After Surgery
Her sparkly new gnashers are the work of dental surgeon Dr Catrise Austin- tooth extraordinaire to the stars.
They cost the rapper $40,000.
The surgery was a complete success, and Dr Catrise now jokingly advertisers herself as “the cosmetics doctor for Cardi B.”

Chatting with AspireTV, Dr Catrise confirmed that the rapper’s surgery didn’t come cheap, but she was a model patient.
“I enjoyed servicing her. She’s fun to work with and she allowed me to tape the entire procedure.
She was honest and open and inspired the world to do something about their teeth, if they’re unhappy.”
Hitting the Big Time
Cardi B hasn’t been shy about discussing her humble beginnings; she worked as a stripper in New York before she started recording herself for Vine and Instagram.
She soon became an internet celebrity in her own right, and appeared in VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York as she pursued fame.
While starring on the reality show, she released two mixtapes; Gangsta B***h Vol 1 and Vol 2. These went down a storm in the music biz, and Cardi B was signed to Atlantic Records in 2017.
