Angie King: Who is comedian Jo Koy’s wife?
Jo Koy the stand-up king officially has a new woman in his life! But many fans are still a little curious about his ex wife… So what do we actually know about Angie King?
Angie King:
Mr Koy was previously married to a seriously talented lady! Angie is a Filipino-American artist and singer who many will know by her stage name Nura Luca.
Angie King was born May 28, 1979 to parents Tessie and David King and is currently 42-years old.
Ms King currently resides in Los Angeles, where her businesses are based. She is well known for her work as a singer-songwriter inspired by her father, who was an opera singer.
Not much else is known about Angie’s parents. However, it is well documented that Angie’s father, David King Sr sadly passed away in July 2018.
Angie sang at his funeral, in a which she shared online.
She paired the black and white video with a loving tribute to her late father.
She captioned the post: “Me singing for my beloved Father at his funeral on 7/28/18. There was some miscommunication and the church pianist brought the wrong sheet music. I thought I was going to have to cancel or sing a completely different version of Ave Maria. Then after digging through several other accompaniments and literally 3 min before mass started, she found it. And as soon as that happened I knew it was because of my Dad. #avemaria”
Angie and her brother are originally from the Philippines and her mother, Tessie King, is a proud Filipina.
Angie has made her pride in her background known on social media with the Filipino flag proudly displayed in her bio.
Relationship with Jo Koy:
Despite Angie and Jo parting ways in 2013, there doesn’t seem to be a drop of bad blood between the two. In fact it looks like they remained pretty great friends after it all!

On Jo’s 50th birthday in June 2021, Angie penned a sweet post to her ex calling him her “best friend”.
Writing from her artsy Instagram account, the artist and singer posted two heartwarming family photos and a video.
The sweet pictures show herself, Jo and their son celebrating his birthday over a few of the years they spent together.
She wrote: “Today is the bug 5.0 for the most genuine, giving, hard working and funniest guy I know, my best friend and baby daddy lol @jokoy cheers to another year of success, happiness, good times, and great things ahead! Mahal Kita! 42nd vs. 48th/49th birthday”
Marriage:
Angie started dating Jo, whose real name is Joseph Glenn Herbert, in the early days of his career and they married not long after meeting.
The exact date they tied the know remains unclear, but some sources say Jo married Angelica in February 2003 in Nevada.
They also have one child together who is actually shares a name with his famous dad.
They welcomed their son, Joseph J. Herbert Jr, back in 2003 making him18-years-old!
We don’t know if he has met Jo’s new partner yet, but he seems to have a very close relationship with both of his parents.
Both Jo and Angie regularly share pictures on their social media with him.
Career and love life:
Fast forward to present day and Angie is in a relationship with Los Angeles-based artist and designer Gino Perez.
The exact date they began a relationship is unknown but its thought they have been dating since at least 2011.
Together they created L.A.-based clothing line, Mexican UFO.
Gino and Joy are also friends. The artist even credits the comedian for promoting Mexican UFO with his fame. Koy has often worn pieces from Mexican UFO on his stand-up tours and in his previous Netflix special, Comin’ in Hot.

However, fans of the show were in for a surprise when Page Six exclusively confirmed he’s dating the show’s leading lady on September 21, 2021.
So it’s official, he is dating Chelsea Handler!
On September 27, 2021 the new couple finally went Instagram official on Chelsea’s page with a series of heartwarming pictures together.
However, the news may not been a total surprise as Chelsea had previously told the world how much she was “in love”, but didn’t name who.
Although Jo’s name didn’t make the post, it is widely speculated she was talking about him…
Posting on Instagram, the 46-year-old shared a photo of herself looking out into the distance, and captioned it: “Just sitting here in Mallorca thinking about how grateful I am to have so many people that I love in my life, to live the life I do and to be going on tour doing what I love.
“And that I’m finally in love, with the best kind of guy there is. There is hope for everyone! That kind of stuff.”
