Alex Reid Daughter: What Do We Know About His Family?

The actor and mixed martial artist has had a pretty exciting career. From his Big Brother win to starring on soaps and winning fighting titles, he’s been pretty busy for the last 20 years.

Now, Alex Reid has started a new adventure with his new baby daughter. However, that in itself has been an adventure from the beginning.

Let’s find out more about the fighter’s family, including Alex Reid’s daughter.

Who is Alex Reid’s Fiancée?

Alex Reid is probably best known for his relationship with model Katie Price. Though the two married in 2010 in Las Vegas, their relationship didn’t last, and they divorced the following year.

After that, he dated another model – Chantelle Houghton. She is also a Celebrity Big Brother winner, and the pair’s relationship progressed quickly, with Chantelle giving birth to a daughter in 2012.

However, now, Alex Reid is happily content and in a long-term relationship with Nikki Menashe. In fact, the two have been engaged since 2013, so have been together for at least 9 years now.

In 2018, Alex opened up about his short-lived relationship with Katie Price, years after the media personality and MMA fighter broke up.

He said: “The celebrity world doesn’t really make me money – it might do for Katie, but it’s a pretty crappy life having to sell your soul to make a living.

I call it the prostitute years and now it’s self-worth. I’m going back to what I love.”

Alex Reid’s Daughter

From the beginning of their relationship, Alex and Nikki knew that they wanted a child together, and started trying for a child seven years ago.

As we’ve mentioned, Alex Reid already had a daughter from his relationship with model Chantelle Houghton.

However, the child, Dolly, doesn’t see her father too often – and Alex has even admitted that he doesn’t even know where Chantelle lives.

It’s a different story with Alex Reid’s new daughter with Nikki, and he looks the picture of a doting father to little Anastasia Pixie Reid.

Anastasia was born on the 13th July 2021, and both parents seemed evidently delighted with their new daughter.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Alex wrote: “I finally feel complete. 7 long years it’s taken us to get here. My miracle rainbow baby is perfect. We finally have a happily ever after as a family. Life is just perfect. Im so proud of my girls.”

It’s true that it’s taken Alex and Nikki seven whole years to get their miracle baby. The couple encountered fertility problems, with Nikki having to resort to IVF to conceive.

However, their journey wasn’t without its heartbreak and tragedy.

His IVF Journey

When Alex and Nikki started their IVF journey more than seven years ago, we don’t doubt that they knew it was going to be hard work.

However, the couple had to endure their share of heartbreak in order to finally get the child they so desperately wanted.

Nikki became an IVF blogger after starting her first cycle, but it took four cycles to finally get pregnant. Along the way, Nikki suffered a heartbreaking six miscarriages.

Her final miscarriage came just six months before welcoming Anastasia into the world. In December 2020, they lost one of their twins, though thankfully Anastasia held on to life.

Alex said: “Please don’t comment congratulations if you haven’t read this post ….. @ivf_chasing_dreams has now announced the sad news. We lost one of the twins. I am [heartbroken].”

Now, the couple is also pressing ahead with another cycle of IVF in the hopes of having more children. Sadly, Nikki lost her mother when she was just 24, and the blogger says she dreams of having a big family.

She said: “There is no greater love than, in my opinion, being a mum. My mum passed away and I honestly never thought I would feel that kind of love again but having a baby has made that love come back and even healed my heart.

There have been times where it has been really hard with having a lack of sleep but I am even enjoying the sleepless nights because I am a mum.”
