However, there was one thing he did in his audition for the role that immediately attracted the attention of the showrunners.

Aidan submitted a tape for his audition for the role of Five Hargreeves, and showrunner Steve Blackman said that as soon as he saw it, he knew they’d found the right person for the role.

Steve Blackman said: “We’d gone everywhere. We had gone to the U.K., Australia, Canada, America. And this tape pops on and the kid looks at the camera and goes, ‘I will kill for this role.’ That was Aiden. And he was great.”

After two seasons of the critically-acclaimed Netflix show, what can we expect from season three of The Umbrella Academy?

Filming has wrapped on season three, which Aidan Gallagher confirmed on his Instagram in August last year. He posted a video of the cast and crew letting fans know that season 3 was on its way.

He captioned the video: “That’s a wrap on season 3 of the Umbrella Academy!!! Thanks to an amazing cast and crew and of course the fans who got this show made!”
