She’s been presenting Good Morning Britain for over five years, and Charlotte Hawkins has become a firm favourite for viewers. In the past, she’s also starred on Strictly Come Dancing and has presented shows on Classic FM.
However, the one thing fans don’t know much about is her personal life, which she keeps firmly separate from her time on camera. In fact, Charlotte met her husband in 2003, and the couple now has a daughter together.

Charlotte Hawkins is married to businessman Mark Herbert. He works for drinks company Pernod Ricard.
They first met way back in 2003, when a mutual friend introduced them.
After just a few months, Charlotte and Mark moved in together. Five years later, in 2008, they married at Chichester Cathedral.
In 2015, they welcomed their first child, Ella Rose. However, their pregnancy journey wasn’t easy.
Last year, she revealed that the couple considered IVF after failing for years to get pregnant. In fact, Charlotte revealed that the couple were in the process of signing IVF paperwork when she got the good news. She said:
“It was hard. It’s something you long and pray for but it’s one of those things that you don’t necessarily know is going to happen for you.
I was really worried it wasn’t going to happen for us and we were going to have to face the fact that we couldn’t have children naturally.”

The couple lives in a five-bedroom family home in Surrey together with six-year-old Ella Rose. They have lived there for almost ten years.
The 45-year-old also said recently that the Coronavirus lockdown actually strengthened her marriage. She explained:
“For us it’s been lovely. It’s strengthened our marriage even further. It’s brought us closer together. We’ve had a lovely time as a family.”
Her GMB Career
Charlotte Hawkins graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in English Literature. She later got a diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the London College of Printing.
Her first job in journalism was with ITN as a reporter for LBC Radio. In 2006, she joined Sky News, presenting their morning show Sunrise alongside Eamonn Holmes.

However, she’s most known for her job on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, which she co-hosts with Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid. Charlotte joined the show in 2014 and still presents to this day.
In 2017, she had a short-lived stint on series fifteen of Strictly Come Dancing. She was paired with Brendan Cole but the pair were eliminated by the public in the fourth week.
Battle with Covid
Just this month, Charlotte Hawkins revealed that she had been battling with mild Covid. She spent 10 days isolating away from her husband and daughter.
On Instagram, she posted a picture with Ella Rose after finally being allowed outside again, saying:
“So I finally get to hug this one after being in isolation for 10 days with covid… I missed it SO much!!
I’m feeling extremely lucky I only had cold-like symptoms. Thankfully I kept testing even though I had none of the usual covid symptoms, so caught it early & none of my family got ill.”

However, on her first morning back on GMB, she admitted that long-term Covid symptoms had left her feeling rough.
Charlotte said that since having the virus, she has been left with exhaustion, brain fog, and leg numbness.
The latter symptom in particular was cause for concern. Charlotte admitted that she had to go to hospital as doctors were worried it was a blood clot.
Speaking to her fellow GMB presenters, she revealed:
“Yesterday I had a situation my leg, it went completely numb and I had a pain, which, you know, I rang the doctors and I had to get it checked for a suspected blood clot.
