Mo Farah is a world-renowned athlete known for his prowess on the running track. He is the most successful British track athlete in Olympic history.
The Brit was born in Somalia and moved to the country aged eight speaking almost no English.
Now, he’s a bonafide celebrity, having appeared on TV and winning BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year Award. But fans don’t only want to know about Mo’s achievements, but also his personal life.

Mo Farah is married to Tania Nell, who he met while at university in Hounslow. They had been friends since childhood, but it wasn’t until university that the couple got together.
They got married in 2010, and on their 10th anniversary, Mo shared a sweet picture from their wedding day on Instagram.
“We come long way since we met in 1997 back in Hounslow..!! Oh my days..!!” he captioned the picture.

When they got together, Tania had a two-year-old child from a previous relationship, but that didn’t deter Mo.

Does Mo Farah Have Children?
Just after Mo Farah’s success at the London 2012 Olympics, Tania gave birth to twin girls Aisha and Amani. Speaking about having children with Mo at the time, Tania said: “It’s like a fairy tale. We couldn’t ask for anything more.”
In 2015, they had another child, a boy called Hussein Mo Farah. Mo joked that he “wanted Arsenal to be Hussein’s middle name, but Tania wasn’t having it.”

This year, Mo revealed that his kids have taken after him and that they love to be active.
He said: “My kids, particularly my son, is very active and sporty and the girls too, do a lot of running around and play football.
I started a kids one mile. We’re trying to encourage them to do one mile a day no matter what it is. They started off walking and now they can run. They always compare their times with each other. The key thing is to get them to enjoy it.”
His Career
Mo Farah’s running career started when he moved to the UK and his PE teacher encouraged him to get into running.
He won the European Junior 5,000m title in 2001, and by 2006 he had progressed to the European T&F Championships where he won silver.
In 2010, he became the first British man to run the 5,000m in less than 13 minutes.

However, it was his appearance at the London Olympics in 2012 that cemented his status as one of the greatest British athletes of all time.
On “Super Saturday,” Mo gained the 10,000m gold medal, and a week later won gold in the 5,000m.
He continued his domination of the running events at Rio in 2016, winning gold in 5,000m and 10,000m once again.
Unfortunately, Mo failed to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 because of ankle problems.

Mo found a new audience when he appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2020.
Viewers loved getting a personal look at the 38-year-old athlete, and he became one of the most popular celebrities among viewers and camp members.

Vernon Kay, Shane Ritchie, Giovanna Fletcher, and Jordan North all made it to the final four and had to compete in the much-loved Celebrity Cyclone challenge, battling high winds on a slippery slope.
In the end, it was Giovanna Fletcher who was crowned Queen of the Jungle.
