Amir Khan and Faryal Makhdoom married in 2013, and they’ve had a bit of a rocky relationship since then.
However, the one constant in her marriage to the star boxer has been Faryal glamorous looks. She has frequently stolen the show at red carpet events – but fans have spotted some interesting differences in pictures from the start of their relationship and now.
Faryal has been quiet on the subject of possible plastic surgery in the past, but the pictures don’t lie.
So what did Faryal Makhdoom look like before?
Faryal Makhdoom Before
It’s unmistakeable – Faryal Makhdoom before her marriage to Amir Khan looks completely different to her 2021 look.
In pictures from 2012, when the two got engaged, Faryal looks like a different person. She’s sporting her natural hair colour, petite lips, and natural brows.

In the last few years, though, Faryal has debuted a more glamorous look. Perhaps inspired by celebrity idol Kim Kardashian, she has bigger lips, defined brows, and sleek dark hair.
But do the Faryal Makhdoom before pictures confirm plastic surgery? Well, the celeb has been quiet about that.
She hasn’t confirmed outright the work that she’s had done, but she does share a doctor with Kim K.
In the past, Faryal has said: “Because of lack of sleep, genes, dehydration, I get bags under my eyes and I wanted to get them lightened.
I like high cheekbones. I’ve never had plastic surgery. Fillers and plastic surgery are two different things and I want people to understand that.”
So, Amir Khan’s wife has not had plastic surgery, but she does seem happy with the fillers she’s had done.
One plastic surgeon seemed to confirm this, saying: “It’s likely that she’s had lip fillers, both her upper and lower lip look fuller than before, and possibly cheek fillers too.”
How Did The Two Meet?
Faryal Makhdoom was just 19 when she met the successful boxer. He was 24 and had already secured an Olympic medal in the sport.
At the time, Faryal was a student at Rutgers University in New Jersey, where she studied political science and journalism.
The pair were introduced by mutual friends. In 2012, they got engaged, and in 2013 they had a lavish wedding at New York’s Waldorf Astoria hotel.

At their engagement party, Faryal appeared in a beautiful dress inspired by her Pakistani heritage. Her parents Shaukat and Zia own a home on Staten Island.
The couple now have three children: Lamaisah, Alayna, and Muhammed, who was only just born in 2020.
In 2021, fans got an exclusive look at Amir and Faryal’s life when BBC3 released Meet the Khans. The personal documentary followed the couple as they raise their children in Bolton.
The series was a hit and has now been renewed for a second series.
Relationship Trouble
Unfortunately, their relationship has not all been smooth sailing. The couple split very publicly, but briefly, in 2017.
Tweets sent from Amir’s Twitter account at the time seemed to confirm the split, as well as declaring that Faryal had slept with fellow British boxer Anthony Joshua.

However, Faryal has also accused Amir of cheating, more than nine times no less. However, they did manage to get over their split, and everything seemed fine as they welcomed their new son in 2020.
In Meet the Khans, Faryal addressed the cheating rumours and their split in 2017. She said: “Me being a young girl felt betrayed and thought ‘this is bulls***’ until my marriage really kind of did go into a really bad place where it was like ‘that’s it, there’s no turning back’.”

Amir Khan is a two-time world champion, and also the youngest ever British Olympic boxer thanks to his silver medal in Athens in 2004.
