A bit about Emmerdale’s Jamie
James “Jamie” Tate (who is played by 25 year old actor Alexander Lincoln) is the son of Kim and Frank Tate, as well as the estranged husband of Andrea Tate and also the father of Millie Tate.
Since he joined the show back in 2019 it’s safe to say that the character has been involved in some of the soap’s major storylines. Some of his most memorable moments which we all remember him for have to be his love triangle with ex-girlfriend Andrea as well as being involved in the suspicion surrounding Graham Foster’s murder.
If there’s drama – Emmerdale’s Jamie Tate is usually involved in some way. But for this reason, he’s become one of the show’s best characters (and at times possibly the most hated).
Poisoning Kim and fleeing home
Jamie Tate isn’t exactly the most popular man in Emmerdale after he tried to poison his mum Kim by spiking her brandy. And as he faces the consequences of his actions, Jamie has decided to leave the village behind. So as a consequence, Emmerdale’s Jamie was sent away from Home Farm by an outraged Kim.

In a downward spiral, he became homeless and then lost his job as Paddy (played by Dominic Brunt) fired him on moral grounds. And so, he decided a fresh start was the only option for him as he packed his bags and left the village. But this wasn’t the last of his immoral deeds as he left he stole money from the safe.
Emmerdale Jamie’s unborn child
The mother of his unborn child Gabby found out his plan to move to Liverpool after Will accidentally let it slip. Therefore, feeling abandoned and shocked that he would leave her with their future child she went to find him. But – things didn’t go to plan as she discovered him holding a bag of money as well as cruelly announcing that he never wanted her to keep their child.

Outrage from fans
The rest of the street weren’t the only ones left reeling, fans took to social media to post their reactions to Emmerdale’s Jamie.
Fan Tweeted:
“I don’t think Jamie goes, to be honest, I haven’t heard him coming out of Emmerdale! Hopefully home farm stunt.”
“Jamie leaving at the wrong time. He doesn’t even care about the baby now #Emmerdale”.

Another wrote
“So Jamie vacates #Emmerdale without ever having faced justice for mowing poor Moira down then fleeing the scene? Frowning face.”
Thankfully, the controversial character is still on the scene for more drama. AND – maybe this time for a more positive reason.
Newbie Chloe
Sarah Sugden (played by Katie Hill) has been curious about the person who donated her heart for quite some time. Therefore, she recently contacted the organ donation department to request contact with the family of the donor but was rejected.
Instead of just accepting the outcome, Sarah decided to use the internet and social media to find someone connected to her donor, and next week, she is set to meet Chloe (Jessie Elland), the sister of Sarah’s heart donor once again.

Love on the scene
Newcomer Chloe has made a stir as she joined Emmerdale. She entered the show as Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) wanted to meet the person who donated her heart. But as her request was denied she took to social media to try and find out who her savior was.
She managed to find the sister of her donor – Chloe. And so, as she entered the village, it was soon clear that her character would catch the eye of another character.
What does this have to do with Emmerdale’s Jamie? Well, as Jamie’s storylines have recently gone quiet there is the possibility of a new storyline involving a new romantic interest with newbie Chloe. Will they make a good match? I guess we will have to wait and see how this potential budding romance will pan out…
