In his early days, Gino moved from Napoli in Italy to London to focus on his cooking career. He was 19 years old when he went to work in The Orchard Restaurant in Hampstead, London.
His knowledge and skills in blending oils brought him to the attention of Great Food Live on UKTV Food, and his career as TV chef officially kicked off.
Gino being Gino, the TV chef was soon building a name for himself with his cheeky humour. He then received an invitation to appear on This Morning- where he still is today.
He’s since gone on to present plenty of shows over the years, including Lunch with Gino and Mel, Gino’s Italian Escape and Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip.
But the TV chef hasn’t been shy of stepping out of his foodie comfort zone. Gino has appeared on multiple occasions as a captain on Celebrity Juice, and has presented his own game show, Gino’s Win Your Wish List on Channel 5. He even won I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here back in 2009- narrowly beating runner up Kim Woodburn.
While we’re used to seeing Gino D’Acampo on our TV screens, the chef has also earnt his fortunes with his cookery books over the years. He’s released 14 books so far – and there’s another one due out in October too!

And when he’s not creating more cookbooks and TV shows, the TV chef is busy building his restaurant empire with Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant, My Pasta Bar, My Restaurant, as well as his brand-new venture Luciano by Gino D’Acampo– named after his son.
Married Life
The TV chef is married to wife Jessica Stellina Morrison, who is half British, half Italian.
The pair met when Gino was 19 years old, while working in Sylvester Stallone’s Mambo King restaurant in Marbella.
While the pair split for a year in their early days, the couple decided to eventually relocate together to rekindle their romance.

Gino D’Acampo Son: Who is Luciano and who is he dating?
They tied the knot following Gino’s two-year stint in prison in 1998, after he was convicted of burgling singer Neil Young’s house in London.
After his arrest, it seems that Gino was ready for a fresh start. Chatting to The Independent about his marriage, the chef confessed:
“I was a boy, so I decided to get married and then I will be a man.
When I decide something, I have to do something to make it happen.”
During their marriage, Gino and Jessica have had three children; heart throb in the making Luciano, Rocco 15, and Mia, who is 8.
The couple have a fairly traditional marriage, with Jessica taking on the role of a housewife. But the chef admits that he is the stricter parent out of himself and his other half:
“You can see my wife look at the children, saying with her eyes ‘Don’t even think about it, he’s not going to bend’.”
But it seems like the dynamic between the foodie couple works well, as they have now been married for a whopping 19 years.
