Carl Woods may have only appeared briefly on Love Island, but the reality dating show started his transformation into a bona fide celebrity.
After leaving Love Island in 2016, Carl has appeared on other ITV reality shows and is now dating reality star Katie Price.

Carl appeared on the second series of the ITV2 dating show Love Island in 2016 when he was 26.
The Essex man is a car dealer and frequently boasted on the show that he owns more than 30 cars.

But he appeared only briefly on the show, leaving after just one episode.
Two years later, he joined the cast of ITVBe’s Killer Camp. In this original games show, contestants entered an 80s style summer camp to earn money and avoid getting killed by a secret murderer.
Carl played the part of the ‘Prom King’ and ended up winning the show after he successfully kept his identity as the ‘murderer’ secret from his fellow campmates.
His Love Island Journey
The car dealer joined Love Island as a bombshell on the second series, joining other memorable 2016 contestants like Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen.
His journey started with a speed dating session with six of the villa girls. He particularly had eyes for Kady McDermott and Zara Holland, saying: “if they’re coupled up I’ll happily take one of them off the guys’ hands.”

However, things didn’t go quite to plan for the self-described Channing Tatum lookalike. The girls had to pick their two favourite bombshells to join the villa, and Carl wasn’t chosen.
His time on the show is perhaps most memorable by a fateful blunder he made in the first few minutes.
Arriving at the villa, he missed the door to the terrace and memorably walked straight into a window. “Wrong way, babe!” one of the girls shouted, to which Carl responded, “I well messed up then!”

Carl once joked that he’s known now-fiancé Katie Price since he was 15 as he had posters of alter-ego Jordan on the walls of his teenage bedroom.
In reality, the two have known each other for a long time through mutual friends, and it was through a friend that they went on their first date in 2020.
They confirmed their relationship in July of the same year. Just 10 months later, Carl proposed to the 42-year-old reality star. It is Katie’s eighth engagement and will be her fourth marriage.

There have also been rumours that the two are trying for a child together. Carl was recently pictured carrying a pregnancy test, and Katie has posted revealing photos on Instagram holding her belly.
The two currently live at Katie’s £2m mansion, but Carl has recently put in an offer for an £800,000 Essex house. Katie’s pad is currently being renovated, so this may just be a temporary move.
Their five-bedroom house features a master dressing room, three reception rooms, and a large garden area.
Is Carl Getting Cosmetic Surgery?
The pair recently returned from Turkey, where they travelled for Katie to undertake cosmetic surgery. The star has been uploading videos to her YouTube channel documenting the process.
In the most recent video, Katie is seen crying out in pain as she returns from theatre, having undergone gruelling facial surgery.

Carl was also set to also splash out on cosmetic work, including liposuction and sculpting on his abdomen.
However, after a consultation with his doctor, the Love Island star changed his mind.
He said:
“I got sold into the quick fix but when I sit there and I contemplate it, that ain’t the man that I am, I’m not into cosmetic surgery and stuff.
I’m just gonna go home, work out, diet and do it the hard way.”
